MILLWALL have appointed former Blue Willie Donachie as their new manager on a permanent basis.
The 55-year-old Scot originally took over the reins temporarily when Nigel Spackman was sacked in September, but since then he has guided the Lions out of the relegation zone in League One with just two defeats in 10 games.
Chairman Stewart Till told the club's official website,
http://www.millwallfc.premiumtv.co.uk: "We knew Willie would prove a safe pair of hands because he is a vastly-experienced coach and assistant, but we wanted to be certain he was the right man to take charge in the long term."
The former Scotland defender made 347 appearances for City, and he was later assistant to manager Joe Royle.
