JOEY Barton believes he had a fair hearing from the Football Association following his short-dropping antics at Everton.
The Blues midfielder was fined é2,000 and warned as to his future conduct, a punishment that Barton accepted.
He told www.mcfc.co.uk: "I have had a fair hearing and would like to thank the FA for that. The backing I have received from the Sporting Chance charity, the PFA and Manchester City Football Club has been exceptional and I would like to thank them for that.
"Sporting Chance, and the football club, have been with me all the way in recent times and I know I can count on them.
"It has been a real boost to get so many letters and emails from Blues, both City and Everton fans, supporting me during this time. I have also had letters from fans of other football clubs showing solidarity. I regret what I did but am grateful to the FA for recognising the provocation I had to endure.
"I am now looking forward and concentrating on preparations for Saturday's game against Sheffield United."

just proves there is one rule for the ritch and one for the poor. rooney 3 games for doing nothing and barton nothing for doing something. only kidding, its about time the F.A. got it right i personally dont think they should have wasted anybody's time over this and im a red thank god
Ken - suggest you get some spelling lessons instead of idling your time away on city boards.
I take it you're a red pauper Ken, since you don't know how to spell "rich"....you sad waste of space. Schools in canada ought to be ashamed of themselves.
Go now Barton and leave your kit behind you.It shouldn't be too hard.
Kiss your badge - 3 game ban. Display your rear end inviting the opposition to kiss it - no ban. Reminds me of the discrepancy over failing to take a drug test some time ago. I couldn't agree more with all the Blues who claim that United and City are treated differently by the FA.
