Kasper extends Shakers stay

KASPER Schmeichel's loan spell at Bury has been extended until April 22.

The 19-year-old has impressed Shakers boss Chris Casper in his seven appearaces so far, and City have allowed him to extend his Gigg Lane stay.

Schmeichel has already spent a loan spell at Darlington this season as he broadens his experience.

Do you think Kasper has the potential to become a first-team keeper at City? Have your say.

The signs seem to be that he may have what it takes. But boy has he got some big shoes to fill.

the only reason he is at city is because KK was daft enough to listen to his rag dad. He will not made the grade, he may look his dad but that is where the similarity ends.

He's got lovely hair mind you.

Has anyone seen him play while out on loan this season?
It might be worth asking someone to see if he's capable of making the grade.
Wasn't Cassillas goalkeeper for Real Madrid at 17yrs of age? I don't think many City supporters care to see James in goal. Why don't we play him now, lets face it, how worse could are season get now? Best not to ask really.

He is not ready yet to be thrown into the first team, too naieve and make minor errors that in time will iron themselves out....only watched him a few times in the reserves though, so maybe I am going to the games where generally we play poor and missing the ones when he is performing how he can.

The stints out on loan will do him good, but who the hell do we havbe good enough to be keeper after James?....de vlieger??...NO...Weaver??...well if you want mistakes and injuries all the time then yes.

Have seen him a couple of times down at Gigg Lane and the signs are very good. Although not as big as his dad he certainly has many of his characteristics ; ie. very confident, commands his area, good distribution etc. Have spoke to several season ticket holders and they tell me that if Bury do survive their relegation fight it will be down to Kasper as much as anyone else. Yes, the quality of the opposing strikers is not premiership, but the kid is getting first team experience and that can do him no harm at all. After all he has cost us nothing and if he plays one first team game it will be one more that a player that cost us ??3.5 million !!

Give the lad a chance.

He may sell some shirts. He can't be any worse than that Sun chappie?

Bonus - He may even be a good goalie!
