BAGGIES captain Kevin Campbell has backed Stuart Pearce's start to his City managerial career - and is keen to renew acquaintances with his old pal.
The veteran striker has been out since October with an ankle problem, but is now back in training and is optimistic of being available to face City.
And he is keen to meet up with Pearce - initially a team-mate and then his boss at Nottingham Forest in the late 1990s.
"It would be great to see Psycho," he said.
"Nobody knows if you are going to be a success as a manager but he always had the attributes and is a real character.
"He is enthusiastic as he ever was and is good for Man City and the game as a whole in this country."

sp is a fantastic manager for us he loves the club and the cluc loves him all he needs is some money to spend on players the future is blue and gright with pearce at the helm
Semms like he is touting his services to me. He realises that WBA have bought a new striker in his injury absence (Ellington), he's prob aware that SP has stated he needs another striler or 2 and sees this chance to put his name forward for the Jan sales. I hope SP tells him where to go (and its not 'up' the M6 towards manchester).
