James: Usual solid performance from James, although his kicking sometimes went awry 6
Mills: Well, one of them had to go in eventually. Having let fly from thirty yards on so many past occasions with so little success, Mills fired in a peach and sent City on their way. 7
Dunne: Imperious performance, using strength and positional acumen to nullify any number of Toffeemen attacks. 7
Distin: Aided and abetted by Dunne, cut off Everton supply lines from midfield to attack and made a crucial late clearance off the line to deny Everton a leveller. 8
Jordan: Stood up well to most of Everton's foray's down the right 6
Musampa: One of Kiki's quieter games although came close shortly before being substituted in the second half 6
Barton: The boy did good...again. Another mature, composed performance from Barton, and City fans would appreciate the gusto with which he got stuck into Phil Neville. Made the telling pass for City's second. 8
Sibierski: Not always convincing and should have scored in the second half from the Blues' best move of the game 5
Ireland: Have City finally found the missing creative link in midfield? A fantastic performance for a player with so limited Premiership experience: came alive in the second half, starting many City moves, and nearly found the net himself at the end. 9
Cole: Had been badly missed upfront by the Blues and came close with a couple of flashes across goal in the second half 7
Vassell: Tireless running from Vassell and some nice touches. Thankfully, found a reward in stoppage time for yet another surging run from deep. 8
Subs:
Croft: City gained much more balance and attacking threat when Croft came onto the right. Should probably start there, at least while Sinclair is injured. 7
Sun Jihai: Introduced in stoppage time, so not on long enough to make an impact and gain a rating.
Not used: De Vlieger, Sommeil, Onuoha, Jihai, Croft.

Credit to Stuart Pearce for starting Ireland and bringing on Croft who helped CITY come to life.
Well done CITY!

James kicking must improve though - it's getting to be a real worry.
Ireland and Croft must start the next game as Kiki's been drinking in the last chance saloon for a few weeks now and French Tony's been vomiting in the dustbins outside for considerably longer.

Ireland should stay in the team for the hammers game but I would also bring Reyna back in on the right if he is fit as he has had a good season so far.
Croft has done well when he has come on but I dont think he is as strong defensively.
Poor match but great goal from Mills. Good to hear the crowd on his side for once.
Sibby and Kiki were both very poor and created nothing.
