James - No chance with Michael Owen's strike 6

Onuoha - A solid performance from this bright young star 7

Distin - Did not look as comfortable as usual 6

Dunne - Defended soundly for the most part, might have scored with second-half header 6

Thatcher - Another neat display from the full back 6

Sun - Full of effort but had little impact 5

Barton - An impressive performance in a difficult game 8

Reyna - Not his best performance in his third game in a week 6

Musampa - On the periphery of the action 5

Sibierski - Caused the occasional problem in the air but little else 5

Vassell - Barely threatened the Newcastle defence but had little service 5

No doubt Joey Barton played well but City's best player at Newcastle was Nedum Onuoha. Please check the Man-of-the Match voting result on this page. Onuoha has got more votes than all the other players combined. It is only fair that he gets at the least the same rating as our Joey

I have warned you all about Sibs for over 12 months now - he is not a match winning player - more a match loser! He has consistently proved this by costing us many games with his dreadful finishing! Aston Villa sold their verson of Sibierski to us (Vassell) so now we have two sunday league players leading our attack. Its not easy anymore is it SP? let this be a lesson to you next summer - buy quality, buy depth!

Blimey!!..Sun, Sibierski & Musampa all rubbish again!, well what a bloody shock that is surely, they are ALWAYS garbage (Musampa only so far this season though, he was good last year), and yet are never dropped, have City or Pearce got the balls to drop the wasters costing us points at all, or is it a birth certificate that gets you a first team game at City?.

Dunne defended soundly MY AR-e did you see his loss of pressece for Owens goal? throughout like Distin he looked shaky and vunerable,and Barton was so quiet was the 8 marks just for being well behaved? Onouha deserved a 10 for having to play amongst a load of donkeys apart from Ireland and Croft.WE ARE ON SKID ROW,WE HAVE NO MONEY AND WARDLE &co HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS TO ANSWER!!!!!

I spent a lot of time and money to get to that game, and a wish I hadn`t bothered. It seemed to me that we were playing 9 against 11. Sun and sibierski were rubbish. I appreciate that the board has tied SP`s hands to the extent that we only have one fit striker so he is obliged to play Sib, but why on earth won`t he play Croft? He makes an impact every time he comes on, why not give him 90 minutes? Surely we have sold enough shirts in China by now to take the step of ditching Sun. Enthusiasm counts for nothing if it is not accompanied by skill. Sun, sadly, has lots of the former but precious little of the other....

Whats going on? 2 weeks ago we were all singing the teams praises . Please don't be so fickle. Every team has a bad patch, I'm sure we will come good on sunday against Everton. I agree we should have bought another striker but we didnt so theres no point in moaning about it. Barton and Onuoha superb again. Musampa needs to learn to be more of a team player and as for Bambierski........NO Comment. Come on you blues!!!!!!

Its great to see that Nedum was not affected in any way by his false red card he was given at Doncaster.
This performance by Nedum was a positive sign.
