MANCHESTER City full-back Ben Thatcher has been selected to play in Wales' game against Slovenia on August 17.
Thatcher, who missed last Saturday's game against Olimpiacos through injury, has made John Toshack's squad for next week's friendly.
Thatcher still has a one-match international competitive ban to serve ahead of Wales' World Cup double-header against England in Cardiff on September 3 and Poland in Warsaw four days later.

I don't know why we should be interested in a player getting picked for a country that any Premiership player of the appropriate nationality gets picked for automatically.
congrats Ben....anytime a player is selected for his country it is an accomplishment and should not be belittled. thats the problem with a lot of "fans" these days. they don't know support. I just hope Ben comes through uninjured. last thing we need is him aggrevating his injury. we're too short at the back!!
