Rumour mill: Blues eye French starlet

MANCHESTER City are monitoring young French defender Olivier N'Siabamfumu, according to a report.

The 19-year-old Rennes player has impressed at the European Under-19 Championships and has attracted the interest of a number of clubs.

Real Madrid, Middlesbrough and PSV Eindhoven are all watching him, according to Sky Sports.

Note to Ed/City Scouts.....could we pleased be linked with a player who's name I can pronounce? According to Sky, this kid hasn't played a game for his team Rennes,but is doing the stuff for France U-19 in Euro Champs,and if Real Madrid are interested,he must be half decent!

Surely this should be one for the (near) future, or he's better than what we already have. I don't mind if there are more than enough defenders at the club. As long as better ones are coming in, we just need to offload what we have. Simple and like SP said all along: wherever and whenever I can improve the team or management, I will do so. And so he should. Still, this one is just a rumour and we face quite some competition as it seems.

It's nice to be associated with so many players, but in reality how many ended up with us...practically none!!. Even with the sale of SWP, we cannot even afford a decent striker. Of the current ex-England forward lines we have, all are injury prone. We must get another striker, and from other web sites, rumours had it, Spurs might be willing to listen to offer for Freddie Kanoute...honestly, he is a class player but erratic, but that is a hallmark of a great player...so go for him...

This guy must be worth a look at if Madrid are interested. lets get him on a weeks trial and see what he is all about.

PS - does anyone know what has hapopened to the Hussein kid that was here for a week on Ali Benarbia's suggestion? Is he still with us or not?

Just been watching some french football on tv,Nantes have a midfielder called Glombard who has the most brilliant turn of pace I've seen for ages.He scored one and almost a second after leaving players for dead with his pace from the middle of the pitch.Mark my words,when Essien finally joins Chelsea,Glombard will be the biggest thing in french football,City should move for him now before moneybags clubs force the price up.
