STUART PEARCE is hoping he has his new job taped.
The Blues boss is turning to video evidence more and more in a bid to fast forward City into their highest ever Premiership finish.
And tonight's opponents Birmingham have not avoided the big screen treatment as Pearce seeks back-to-back home wins for only the second time this season.
Video technical expert Michael Bridges and fitness coach Juan Carlos Osorio have had a greater input in the last month with the Columbian now watching games from the stand as Pearce's eye in the sky.
'I think in some respects Juan is playing a more prominent role,' agreed the boss.
'The video analysis was something that I used to do. Now Juan is spending more time on it and doing that side of it. I think it is a side of the game that he quite likes.
'We need someone up in the stands. Video has been a big part of the game for years. I remember under Bobby Robson sitting there studying the opposition so it has been part of a game for a long time.
"I found it certainly improved my game. I watched every goal we conceded to see if we could have done better and why we conceded it. I use it as a learning tool."
Do you think City can benefit from more video analysis? Have your say.
