Manchester City's Argentinian stalwart Pablo Zabaleta has called for calm over the Carlos Tevez saga.
Tevez has been suspended after his apparent refusal to play against Bayern Munich, but fellow countryman Zabaleta reckons people should try and help the forward.
Zabaleta said: “I know Carlos. Everybody always wants to play, maybe it’s like that,” he said. “It’s a difficult moment for him, but we need to be calm sometimes. It was a difficult game and now everybody is excited.
“We need to turn the page and look forward to the next game against Blackburn.
“We need to try to help Carlos. He has been a really important player for us in the last two years – maybe this season he has had more games on the bench.
“Sometimes that is difficult, and more so for strikers, who need to play, need to score, need to feel confidence.”
What do you think? Have your say.

Sorry, Pablo, as much as I respect you and like you, you are wrong. Tevez is beyond the pale. He refused to play when given a chance. No one does that to us and hets away with it. I saw the look of disgust on your face as you argued with him. Don't fall for his balloney.
You are 100% Blue Zabs and an example to many, but I have to disagree with you on this one.
Not only were Tevez`s actions disrespectful but he is also keeping another player from the first team, someone like Gudetti for instance if his loan allows for a return and this is unacceptable.
Sorry Pablo,
you may well have been misquoted on this, but, if that's what you really believe, then, despite how much respect and adoration you have from the fans of our Club, perhaps if he goes, you need to go with him.
I can't help thinking that this will be, not only an exercise in dealing with Tevez, but an exercise where the Club will be really laying down the law to everyone else there. If there are any more dissenters within the ranks, then let's flush 'em out and deal with them too, this Club is going forward, and no-one is going to destroy that, particulalrly from within.
To Manchester City players who feel they have to say something, anything on the subject of Tevez ~ my advice is DON"T !
Sorry Zab we all respect you but on this you are WRONG!
City have bent over backwards to help this clown and been royally shafted every time!
He has disrespected our City, our club, our manager and now the fans who once idolised him......there is NO coming back!
I love our Zab, he's my favourite player, understated, level-headed, reliable and i understand his loyalty to his mate Carlos but he's wrong here. We've bent over backwards to please Tevez more times than we should have. If he really did refuse to play then there can be no excuse for that. I really hope Komps gave him an ear bashing after the game, Tevez thinks he's untouchable in our squad and we're partly to blame for his attitude by treating him differently than the rest of the lads.
Finally a bit of common sense !! Get Zab signed up on a 10 year contract as i never want him to leave our club. He is the ultimate professional.
If what is being said does turn out to be the case, Tevez does need to be punished, however let the Club Officials deal with it and leave Bobby and the team to focus on winning football matches. The game on Saturday is a must win after all this, we can't give the media more ammunition to run us down. It won't be easy, Blacburn will be in our faces wanting to wind the players up. If not in the right frame of mind i can see things getting nasty and out of hand.
MCFC, please do not let this incident ruin our season. Deal with it swiftly and professionally
We all love Zab - but cant go with him on this. We should be anything other than helpful to the little troll.
Sorry Zab!!
Pablo while not blessed with consumate skill as other players in this world ,you epitomise what playing in a Blue shirt means to the fans .
How much more can the club do for him ?
They have bent over backwards and been more than sympathetic to his needs .
Tevez's reasoning was that he was not happy because his family were not with him in the Uk .
He has had compassionate leave and nothing but love given to him .
Yes he might be unhappy at not playing but so are other players either at our club or someone else's .
BUT NEVER SHOULD A PLAYER REFUSE TO PLAY FOR HIS TEAM IF ASKED TO DO SO .
Unforgiveable im afraid and he needs the book throwing at him .
He has crossed a line and deserves all he gets from my beloved club , the club I first saw and fell in love with stood on a milk crate at the front of the Kippax.
The Future is Blue ,MCFC Blue ... without Tevez
With all due respect Pablo, but when you say...
“strikers, who need to play, need to score, need to feel confidence.”
I thought that was what he was asked to do. He has spent the last 12 months insulting the city of Manchester, going off on holidays to Majorca instead of visiting his family, questioning Roberto's training methods, attempting to learn to English by listening to Eminem, even 'playing' in a completely disinterested way, not working hard in training (if Roberto is to be believed and who I definitely do believe) the list is endless...he's a bad apple.
When you say we need to help Carlos Tevez - what exactly do you mean? In what way havn't City helped this man? Tevez tried to pull one on Mancini and it's back-fired on him, he's made his bed - he can lie in it for all I care (just so long as he is never seen in a City shirt again).
Zab, take a deep breath & tell him how IT IS, that's what good friends are for.
Tytherington, great course, quite near that well known hospital in Mac.
Bet he's playing a one ball.
I am not sure that we should all be blaming Tevez the way everyone seems to be doing. I actually think - from all the television pictures during the game - that Tevez was ready to come on and that it was actually Kolarov who pulled him back. Mancini may have told him to get on, seen Tevez start to get up, then when Mancini turned around again, saw Tevez sat back down and saw that as a refusal to play.
Somebody knows exactly what happened and those people need to be up front during the enquiry - not hide behind their own careers. I feel there are a few 'untruths' being bandied around at the moment. Maybe it is all Tevez's fault, but I have a sneaking suspicion that there is more to it than that. For City's sake, this whole episode needs sorting out without any more disharmony within the club and the dressing room. Let's get in the headlines for the right reasons!
I'm sorry Pablo but what help does a man on £200,000+ per week want? He has chosen to isolate himself from the City and the fans as I believe you have not so no wonder he is lonely. If he hated Manchester so much, why didn't he insist on going back to Argentina after leaving United? If, with all the benefits that life could possilby bestow on a poor kid from the back streets of Buenos Aires, he is still unhappy, I suggest the best help he could get would be from a psychiatric clinic - not MCFC
Er am i missing something. Carlos desperate to leave, said so repeatedly as well as bad mouthing people at the club. Then he's not happy because he's on the bench behind likes of Aguero (bought to replace him). He's either unbelievably spoilt or stupid/badly advised.
Just hope this is the end of player power at the club.
I'll help him - I'll drive him to the airport myself!
I'll help him .. I'll carry his ego to the airport departure lounge for him.
Keep ur nose out Zab , hes a problem and weve had enough now , you should tell him to pack his bags , we will never accept him again!!! Help ??? my heart bleeds.
well you have to get to the b but hes the maneger ottem of it all is it his way of trying to get out of playing for city we could not underatand why he took dehko off we have some good players but why are they not playing to the abbillitie there must be unrest in the camp we and all our family have surrporters for years our family are season ticket holders hope this unrest gets sorted a big surrporter
frank barbara james
Zabba - i have nothing but respect for you as player and a person, but dont even try and defend this muppet. What he did is totally unacepptable!
I have followed football for more than 45 years and in all that time I have never seen a manager have so many player management problems than RM. Maybe it is a language problem maybe he just doesn't have the skills. But so many problems - is it bad luck or just careless?
We do need to help him. Help him leave our club.
Help is at hand : GROW UP CARLOS
Sorry Zab: Help him ? - right out of the door !
Their can be no going back or it will be Mancini who goes, and I know who I want to stay
You are a decent and mature professional Pablo, and also a good friend to your countryman. But the help Carlos requires is many sessions with a top Psychiatrist, maybe the professionals can get to the bottom of this spoiled brats troubled mind. CTID
Un-believable...Get on with your job & sort your own game out (it needs work on it) Pablo & let management deal with "king Carlos"...It just shows how these over paid clowns think...Mancini should fine & drop any player that comments on this issue...FFS you have just lost a very important game, had a minor revolution on the subs bench & you are on this halfwits side..Pack your gear & clear out your locker, you should be next for even commenting on this matter.RM should also fine EZ one months wages for he's tantrum...
