CITY were made to work hard by their bogey team as the title contenders managed to do what all good sides do - grind out a win when they're not at their best.

Well done Jolean Lescott... played well today
off topic but seething mad...BBC and the muppets on motd! went to the game and it's been a while since I've seen such an obvious hatchet job, David Silva will be black and blue in the morning! Moyes and Evertons tactics were a disgrace. City battled well and were patient and seasons gone by would have drawn. All the beeb had to say was that we were lucky?!, no mention of 5 Everton yellow cards and the only 'controversy' was Vinnie stamping on Cahill??? if the aussie has-been hadn't been sliding into the back on him when Vinnie planted his foot then he wouldn't have got stamped on...yellow card Cahill. The media bias is becoming more and more obvious cos we are doing it, stick together blues, don't get rattled and bask in the glory!!!
I will probably be shouted down here but the more I see them together the less convinced I am that they can play together, and that is Silva and Nasri. When we had Bernabia and Berkovic and they played together it worked because Bernabia had such a footballing brain he could adapt his play. I have seen no evidence that either of Nasri and Silva even attempting to accomodate each other and what you get is the pair of them playing between themselves in the area around the edge of the box and wandering into what should be Clichy/Kolarov territory and effectively snuffing out their effectiveness. I said after the Napoli game that someone needs to tell Nasri that we are not Arsenal where looking pleasing outstrips the need for an effective end product, nothing since as changed that view. I am not decrying their respective talents but I suspect that when NDJ is fit we will play with only one of them except for rare occasions.
A word of praise for Balotelli yesterday, not only did he take his goal well, (it must be BBC policy to criticise us in every department because they were the only reports I heard that mentioned a deflection) but his none response when Hibbert (I think it was Hibbert) went right through the back of him on the touchline was excellent.
After watching us get beat by this team a number of times . It looked like deja vue with Tim Cahill popping up last minute with a header. It was a joy to see Kompany on the BBC taking toerag TIm out of the game , especially after watching MOyes' bunch of thugs kicking our little genius all over the pitch, I was wishing De Jong was around to dish out some pay-back. I thought Tim had caused his own injury but I was delighted to see that Kompany had taken him out.
As for the BBC what a discrace to say that Silva was only man marked , Moyes told his thugs to take him out of the game no matter what.
Everton on paper aren't even that bad a side and for most of the game had 11 men behind the ball, pathetic.
Well done Mancini, we have spent a lot of money but he is making big decisions now with subs , I thought Tevez might have come on but glad to see Ballotelli.
Also thought Nasri struggled with the lack of space , but towards the end of the game it is invaluable to have players that can keep the ball and get bakc and tackle etc.
Like to see that our players continue to acknowledge that they are paid to score goals and when they do, have no need to dance/pose or put a dummy in their mouths!
So refreshing, so 1970's ........
I am not going to over-criticise Everton but their team reflects the manager - miserable and niggly. Moyes should slot straight into Ferguson´s shoes then !
