Manchester City full back Micah Richards has been ruled out of the Blackburn game with a hamstring injury.
The Blues defender was expected to be back - boss Roberto Mancini had even hoped he would make the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United on Saturday - but he is taking more time than expected to recover.
Mancini said: "Micah is not ready yet. He needs another week to ten days to recover."

this is exactly the reason why we have a squad.CITY are finally (no pun intended) beginning to look like a team, where players can be slotted in and out as required. As an aside if people think Dzecko is rubbish and not worth even £5 mill goodness knows what Chelski fans must be thinking about Torres.
Yesterday, set to return, today he's out. now just like Tevez he's trying to be fit for the final, what about the other five league games. what the hell is going on, Looks like everybody wants to be fit for the final but they don't give a hoot about the league.
Welcome back Micah. Zab - Lescott - Vince - Micah. What a great backline!
Same team as the Semi then - that'll do me until King Carlos and Micah are fully fit. I also fancy Dzeko to step up if Mancini feels he is a better option than super duper Mario.......
we don't need to rush anyone back from injury its not worth it, Zaba was a legend and Kolarov had his best game for us yet at the weekend. If Kolarov can do that against UTD under that pressure he can do it every week, now we know he has the ability we can cut him more slack, i hope, if he still shows signs of adjusting to the prem before the end of the season. He has proved he is worth giving time to like all new comers to our unique pace of football.......
We are facing the most important time in years a Cup Final and a run in for a place in the champs league.Whilst wanting all players fit it will be extremely risky to include those who are not 100%.We are fortunate with having Zab and it will be interesting to see who gets picked at right back when Micah is fit again.A good dilemma to have methinks..
Many thanks to the Sheikh, to YAYA, RM, and most of all my fellow blues for sticking with our roller coaster club through thick and thin. Off topic - Im in London when the Blackburn game is on, so can any blues recommend a good place to watch City destroy the Chicken farmers.
I'm pretty sure he said in an interview before the semi that he'd tweaked his hamstring again during training. I'm guessing that oxygen tent didn't do the trick or he attempted to come back too quickly.
This is why I hate it when our players get called up for international duty.
