Can' see him letting Zaba go. He's a good honest guy who always gives 100% and Mancini likes him.

Personally i thought he did well against Poznan

Well, we need Taylor or A N Other as backup, just look at the goalkeeper mess at the end of last season. Zab won't be going anywhere just yet. Johnson is just an enigma, if only he can shake off his injury jinks; it would be useful as he is home grown.

It's a credible list. If only you could count to six…

That's 8

i agree with all of them except for zabba!! i think he will be a very effective squad player at the least, i would add to your list Wayne Bridge.

No way he'll let Zab go. Mancini loves the versatile - and Zab is nothing if not versatile.

What about Bridge,Etuhu,Caiceido and Bellamy?I cannot see Roberto ever selling Zab....

Massive decisions

I'm looking forwards to seeing the equivalent rag list

Wouldnt let MJ or zabba go anywhere

Here's my thoughts on the current squad based on likelihood of getting playing time under bobby, I've also included what i think the possible wage savings might be, which seems quite important with all these new rules:

Goalies

Keep Sell
Hart Given (80k p/w)
Gonzales Nielsen (5k p/w)
Taylor

Defenders

Keep Sell
Kolarov Cunningham (5k p/w)
Boyata Lescott (80k p/w)
Vidal Bridge (80k p/w)
Boateng Logan (2k p/w)
Richards Onuoha (20k p/w)
Zabaleta
Toure (K)
Kompany

Midfielders

Keep Sell
A Johnson Viera (65k p/w)
M Johnson SWP (60k p/w)
Silva Etuhu (5k p/w)
Milner
Barry
De Jong
Toure (Y)
Weiss
Ibrahim

Strikers

Keep Sell
Tevez Adebayor (160k p/w)
Balotelli Bellamy (65k p/w)
Nimely Caicedo (30k p/w)
Jo (65k p/w)
Santa Cruz (65k p/w)

Keep Sell
23 15

Wage Savings (p/w) £787,000

Total per year - £40,924,000

this would reduce the wage bill significantly and also leaves us with the option of signing a couple of superstars and not going over our turnover.

may leave us a bit short if theres an injury crisis though!!

is johnson still alive...he must be the biggest mystery since the bermuda triangle.
i'd also keep zab, attitude much better than some we could name

1) Zabba won't be going anywhere. Bert likes his attitude and adaptability.
2) Can't see Taylor going - but can see Given being sold.
3) Who would buy Johnson? No one doubts the ability he has/had, but can't see anyone paying a fee for a player who is never fit, or City releasing him at this moment.

zabba should not be on there, wayne bridge should.

forever blue but still smiling.

Not Zaba, Johnson or Wright Philips, not untill the end of the season any way, I like Zaba and I think the manager does as well, the rest we could lose, not problem

apart from zab, they can all go,i doubt any of them are in bobby's plans

Taylor - no - Given will be going however
Lescott - no - need him for depth - he needs a good run in the side though
Zab - not a chance - most adaptable player in the squad
Johnson - no - club will give him a chance once he's over the injury
RSC - clearly yes
Jo - yes if we bring in another striker, no otherwise
SWP - would like him to stay but is likely going to leave
Logan - will never get a match
Hopefully there's a possibility of some loaned out players to be sold too.

Zabaleta must stay!

Get rid n this order 1st - last RSC, JO, SL, ST, JL, MJ, SWP, PZ

I can see the logic in getting off the wage bill big earners who came with a large transfer fee and clearly aren't contributing enough.
Jo and Santa Cruz will clearly go.
SWP, Bridge and Lescott's places are under threat.
It would however make no sense to get rid of Johnson. He has the ability, is not one of the big earners and didn't cost anything.
With UEFA's new financial rules, having quality home grown players (or those who cost little) is going to be vital.
Hart, Richards, Boyata and Johnson could have big roles to play as could Weiss and possibly even Onouha.
We won't be able to have a squad of 22 players on 100k a week who all cost 15 million or more.

I will personally drive Crocky anywhere he wants to go. The worst pound for pound signing this club has made and we have signed some real rubbish!

Can't get rid of Zab - valuable squad member. SWP is a good squad player too, Johnson needs time and we don;t want to get caught out without a goalie, so keep Taylor.

Why the papers are pushing a cull at City in January seems a bit extreme even for us. The key thing is the 25 Man squad rule, I like it as we as a club are being forced to keep the quality and ditch the deadwood! Can't see 6 going in January as that would mean we need 6 in to sustain the campaign, we defiantly need a attacking midfielder, and a striker!

This is who MEN reckon is for the chop...

Stuart Taylor: Depends if the rumour mill is true about an unhappy Shay?

Joleon Lescott: Why would we get rid of a decent, versatile defender? He might not be first choice, nothing says he won't be in the future. Think we need to put the £24M tag to bed, he wasn't/isn't worth that but who cares its irrelevant! If he was sold we would be looking at £6-8M and ALL the premier league sides would be interested! Then who would be the replacement... He will stay!

Shalelum Logan: This nonsense about youth team players is doing my head in, if they are good enough then stay if not sell and get some money back into the system! Good luck lad but we need a 25 man squad!

Pablo Zabaleta: Great professional, he is the perfect squad player wish we had more of them. Never moans and is there giving 100% when cracks appear... We would be crazy to let him go anywhere!

Michael Johnson: Broken, and likely to get broken again, and again... Would nice to hold onto a player or two from pre money bag days. But if Ireland and Dunne weren't good enough then Michael (made of glass) Johnson is a see ya later for sure... Think he will be a free not even sure a premier league club will take him on... (guarantee there will be somebody out there that thinks he's the next Messi, delusional).

Shaun Wright-Phillips: Never as good the second time around and has been a bit of a disappointment. Goes down to easy these days guess he just has lost his sparkle now the rest of the team is that much better. Sick of his Dad ranting on also, best to sell him on now while we can still get some return, think Liverpool have been sniffing... Wouldn't hurt to waste their new money on the little fella!

JO: "Bellemys gone and Jo's still here!", What is going on he was rubbish when we got him and things haven't moved on, Brazilian experiment didn't work so it's a big goodbye. Think he will be another cheep deal for somebody, going to have to be overseas even Celtic won't take this lemon!

Roque Santa Cruz: He never really came to town did he, and was a big strike against Sparky. Lazio want him then we should do everything we can to get him there. I'll drive!

Keep Zaba, sorry to see SWP go but he seems a way off first team football now. Lescott looked good late last season but has looked poor this season.

Lets face it the clown called Hughes blew milliinos on over rated or never were players. Like Santa Cruz, one of the worse buys ever, the guy cannot play and is always injured, seems like a bent agent inolved deal to me and others. Bridge, 90,000 per week and he has never had a decent game for us, he has no heart or commitment and was a perpetual reserve at Chelsea and of course the bargain of all bargains Lescott, all I say is what was Hughes, who is stupid anyway actually thinking with his bidding for this just above average player?
We are stuggling at centre back as I predicited many months ago on here. All the money wasted on midfielders and we have one class central defender in Kompany. Toure is another over rated player has been dumped on us by Arsenal. Boyota far too immature and Lescott who like Toure doesnt undertsand the word mark your man!
