Football so easy for Silva, says Mancini

NOW YOU SEE IT... David Silva displays the balance and technique which is fast making him a City favourite
Manchester City boss paid tribute to blossoming star David Silva after the win over Lech Poznan and said that football, "is easy for him."

The little Spanish star created two of Emmanuel Adebayor's goals in the 3-1 win in a delightful display of technique at Eastlands.

"For David Silva it is easy to play football," said Mancini.

"Everything is easy for him.

"As a team, I thought we played very well in the first half.

"We scored two goals and did some good things. But we were ordinary in the first 20 minutes of the second.

"For a little while I was a bit afraid because I thought Lech could cause some problems. But the third goal finished the game."

How highly do you rate Silva among Premier League midfielders? Have your say.

Most technically gifted player in the league and one of the most skillful in europe - thats why he is more of a regular for Spain than Fabregas. I like his attitude as well.......

Smudger, you will become a MANCHESTER CITY legend, seems the bitter hypocrite over at old toilet was wrong again, saying your a bit lightweight on your feet, for the premier league.

Silva is sheer class and will prove to be one of the best premiership buys of the season. He didn't arrive with any great fanfare as he was only one of a handful of major signings this summer but he was the one player I was most excited to see in a City shirt.

Seemed to play second fiddle to Villa at Valencia but in the last few games has definitely dispelled the myth he wasn't up to the rigours of the EPL. The quality of his passing and vision in a game is awesome and he should be one of the first names on our teamsheet for most games in future.

If his inclusion means sacrificing one of our 3 so called "holding midfielders" then so be it!

you would have to say, given his short time in the Premier League, Silva is establishing himself as one of the most influential midfielders in the league, and as the season goes on, will have a big part to play for City and our ambitions of winning trophies. He has adapted to English football relatively quickly, and is proving that you dont have to be 6' plus and muscle-bound to be a succesful midfielder in the Premier League. As much as I hate comparing with rag players, Silva could have the same influence over the next 10 years for us as Scholes has for them. on current form there is only AJ, Essien,VDV,Bale,Adams and Nasri standing out from midfield players you could say are up there with him

Reminds me of kinkladze, however Silva has more options being two footed. Seeing him close up last night was amazing, it gives you much more of a perspective on how gifted this young man is.

The guy is quality. Gio would be proud.

Over two years ago these type of players were just a pipe dream, but now it's real and happening at CITY. I hope the Sheikh builds an Empire that sucks up that lot over the road and spits it out.

His range of passing and his vision with the ball at his feat is awesome. I'm going to stick my neck out and say if we can keep him fit he'll win us the championship - not on his own obviously but he will provide that little bit extra that every team needs. Due to Silva's contribution last night it was overlooked just how good Vieira played. I thought he played his best game in a City shirt, it's such a shame that his legs can't cope with more than a game a week.

Its the footballing brain & vision that makes it easy for him, & when he executes it with his technicai abillity & sublime movment he realy is WORLD CLASS WELLCOME TO MANCHESTER DAVID SILVA !!! CTID BELIEVE.

Silva is a genius with a football. Executing passes others were not even considering and causing outright panic for the opposition. It was so obvious against Blackpool who was needed and where, and credit to Mancini for sorting it, although I would have changed it at half time.

Playing free behind the striker/strikers, the lad will cause total chaos at times. With the likes of SWP, AJ, Balotelli etc making runs from wide areas and our front line working holes in the centre we can be a goal scoring machine of a side.

The last couple of games he has really clicked into gear. He looks like he now knows the runs other players will make and seems to always pick the right pass.

Off the ball he is constantly looking round seeing where people are and as soon as he gets the ball his head is up and he is on the move.

This fella can make us tick for years and is certainly the most gifted player I have seen since Kinkladze.

Whilst I am generally very nervous of any idea of a team tactics revolving around one or two players, I do believe that City's current strategy should be built around Silva and Tevez. In my view, leaving aside the issue of players needing a rest, there are currently three other automatic choices, namely, Hart, Kompany and Kolo Toure (when fit). I am optimistic that Balotelli, Boateng and, possibly, Kolarov may soon be added to the list. I rate De Jong, Yaya Toure, Barry, Millner and Adam Johnson all very highly; but I think that they are natural candidates for squad rotation.

In contrast, Silva can play a pivotal role for City that no other player can. As confirmed by his recent performances for City and for Spain, Silva is simply a class act. He has superb off-the-ball instincts, a brilliant first touch, remarkable ball skills, unparalleled vision and the ability to weight a pass perfectly (as shown by City's third goal last night). And, like Tevez, he is a workaholic! But, for me, his single most important quality is that he can bring the best out of others (a view to which, I suspect, David Villa would assent).

I was expecting a class player but hadn't seen much of him in a central role, and when I heard that's where we were looking to play him was concerned about his size in that area.

Last couple of games have been a revelation. So much balance and ball control. While other players use tricks and pace, he's one of those very few who can beat a player without touching the ball. Or while standing still. Either by selling them a dummy, or just letting them think he's going to play the ball and committing to a tackle.. then he's away.

Very very impressed, with his ability to find space and use it (he doesn't need much). His efficiency of movement, and his end product. He's been the beating of two teams this week so far and as Mancini said, he made it look easy.

Silva is absolutely nothing like Kinkladze at all

Silva is a TEAM player and some memories appear to have faded with time because Kinkladze was an ocasional player. There's a huge difference. Those old enough to remember should think about it with rose coloured glasses before slagging me off. 2 relegations with Kinky in the team is hardly awe inspiring is it?

Kinky was without doubt a class player but not one that I would pick if I needed a team to do a job.

Outstanding ability.. picks out a pass perfectly and incredible vision.. No wonder the rest of the European elite Clubs wanted this player.. Now we are starting to see clearly why he is regarded so highly in Spain and across Europe.. He will also continue to improve. a remarkable talent

Brilliant performance from david, that pass for the third goal was pure Ali Benarbia,it was all in contrast to SWP who had a nightmare of a game and should have been subbed at half-time.I also thought Lescott looked a liabillity at the back, good to see De Jong still going in hard, nice touch by Mancini, making him captain, makes a statement to the screamin' media.
