Tevez looking for spark after World Cup

Carlos Tevez has declared he has been struggling to motivate himself following Argentina’s World Cup quarter-final exit to Germany.

Tevez said: “For the first time in my life, I’m having problems to find something that motivates me.”

The Blues have returned to Manchester after completing their United States tour with a 3-0 defeat against Inter Milan in Baltimore  which saw Patrick Vieira sent off.

They will be joined at Carrington by the World Cup players who missed the tour to take a break – including new boys Silva and Jerome Boateng – before heading to Germany for Wednesday’s Ferrostaal Cup match against Borussia Dortmund.

What do you think? Have your say.

King Carlito come back and feel the love of the fans who adore you and if that fails then come and see some of your new team mates who are likely to help you become a Mega Star and if that fails then your salary this month (whilst you were on holiday)should be enough to sort out this minor struggle......

How can he not be motivated? This next season promises to be one of your best in years. I would be a little worried if I were you guys. It is starting to look like an excuse to join Real Madrid. Either that or his advisors have promised him another big pay day. It would be a shame because he earned every penny playing for you last season. Also, much to our annoyance the little devil proved us wrong!! I won't lie to you, I'll won't shed any tears on your behalf after what he did to us at United..

He swore his undying love to us and then joined you, of all clubs.

Carlos is feeling undertstandibly dissapointed by Argentinas exit in the World Cup, but I have no fears that come kick-off against Spuds, he will be fully motivated, fully focused and desperate to help CIty achieve this season, giving his usual 110%.

Tell me about it. I too am struggling to be motivated - it seems like an age since the end of the season and the pre-season friendlies haven't exactly been inspiring. Roll on the 14th.

taken out of context as usual...............one red top went with the headline - "tevez doesnt want to return to city" - UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! LITERALLY A STRAIGHT OUT LIE!!!!

CT actually said he was gutted after the wotld cup, down in the dumps in general terms about the summer tournament etc but he also went on to say how joining city was the best decision he's ever made, fernando come and join me etc you wont regret it..........

WE LOVE YOU CARLOS - COME AND HELP GET US INTO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, HELP WRITE HISTORY FOR OUR GREAT CLUB - LET THAT BE YOUR MOTIVATION SON..........

p.s. hopefuly nutmeging gary neville to score a fergie time winner in the next derby as well, that would be a real motivator

No Tevez, no top 4.Simples.

Come back Carlos Manchester is missing you. We've got four competitions to win this season and we can't do any of it without you. How's that for motivation?

didn't he say something similar last pre season ... "sick of football, I want to retire and be with kids" ... or something like that.

More anti-City reporting from the MUEN. Here is a further quote from the interview: 'Torres would definitely make us better,' said former Manchester United forward Tevez. 'He's one of the top strikers in the world and I would love to have him as a team-mate.
'Last year we ended up contesting the Champions League places. I have no doubt that this year we will achieve that aim and fight for the title.
'The club will pick up reinforcements and this will make us stronger.
'I know I've never regretted coming to City. It's the best decision

An unmotivated Carlos Tevez? Surely a contradiction in terms. Just wait till the start of the new season to see just how unmotivated King Carlos is!

If you need motivation Carlos, just check out your wage slip.

Hel'll be fine. If his massive ego can take it, and I'm sure he'll be fine, he will come to enjoy playing with some of the new lads and he'll really get happy when we finish ahead of United in the table at season's end. And of course, there's that huge bundle of money that City pay him weekly.

The idiocy of well paid footballers never ceases to amaze me.

Would have prefered a fuller interview to judge this on!

Read this yeaterday. He's not saying football's not motivating him, he is on holiday after the world cup and fed up because they got knocked out of the WC. Barry has said the same thing in the last 24 hours. Its lingering isappointment thats all.

The Argentinian team also got put in economy class on the plane back to Argentina which he said was disrespectful - its not as though they weren't entertaining !

He also said it was the best dicision he evermade leaving utd and coming to City.

But where's the quote for that MUEN???

The local media trying to cause disruption by saying that Tevez lacks motivation ah?....well I never expected this to happen with the MUEN, in truth, I expected nothing less than this united fanzine comic edition to try and do it's best to destablise the club and players at it.

Tevez has stated that he was annoyed at the treatment the Argentinian players received by their FA, and is not sure he can motivate himself enough to want to play for ARGENTINA anymore if that is how they treat the superstars like Messi, Higuain and Aguero (his words), then why should he bother, as they don't value the hard work the players and coaches put in, even if they never won the trophy this time.

Getting motivated to play and perform for Manchester City though, will be no trouble or issue, he has already declared that moving to Manchester City was the best move he has ever made in his football career, and even asked Fernando Torres to join him at Eastlands.......I for one will be hoping that either Torres or Dzeko do join him, Bellamy, Adebayor, Nimely and Mario Balotelli at Eastlands for next season.

What is it with the MuEN today? Have they forgotten to take their happy pills?
It seems like everything to do with City today is a negative.

Cheer up MuEN, or are you just starting to get worried that the blues might actually do something this season?

try getting yourself motivated having to work down a mine or in a factory in order to feed the family and put a roof over their heads on far less money than your earning.
just get back to eastlands where the fans love you and clear your mantle piece for all the medals that are gonna be on there in the coming years.

THIS IS NOT NEWS!

If he's homesick (having spent the summer with fellow countrymen), we might have a problem. Money is not an issue, he's probably knackered after playing so much football. Ade as a lone striker against Inter didn't look up to it.

Looked motivated in training today, along Silva, Kolarov, Boateng and De Jong. Perhaps it was seeing Sean Connery at the bottom of the 'HILL' awaiting their pleasure if they didn't put a shift in.
