The Blues signed Aleksandar Kolarov from the Italian club last week for £16m and now Garrido has gone the other way for an undisclose fee, thought to be around £2m.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito said: "Garrido is a Lazio player. He was our first choice to replace Kolarov."
Garrido joined City from Real Sociedad in 2007 for £1.5m and made 49 appearances for the club.

This Wayne Bridge hatred is ridiculous by the way. He's a decent left back, I even remember most people looking forward to his return when he was injured earlier in the season.

Good luck Javi - a good servant with a good deal of talent.

Hi Gaz, you are of course entitled to your opinion about Bridge, but if you watch him, he is a real weakness, with no capacity to stop opposing right-sided players from crossing the ball into the penalty area.
If that constitutes an " international quality fullback ", then I am seriously confused about the role.
IMO Bridge is no better than a Championship level player, and despite him having a reputation for being good at getting forward, he cannot deliver a decent cross when he does actually make forward runs.
Considering the money that hughes paid for him, he should be much better than he has shown during his pewriod at City.
As far as I am concerned, we were raped by Chelsea ( aided by the blind optimism of Hughes and his managerial team ) and he has been a major weakness in the side.
Barry has been hampered by having to worry about the one-legged excuse for a fullback behind him .
I would gladly give him away to one of our competitors, on the understanding that they HAD to play him, and therefore suffer the same problems that we have had.
The guy is totally inadequate as a PL footballer .

Bridge is closing on 30 and we'd be lucky to get half what Hughes paid for him. As many have pointed out, Javi is no better or worse defensively than Bridge but can sure play a ball in with his left foot.
The number of time Bridge couldnt cross passed the 1st defender AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN vs Club America just typified what a crap player he is
Hurry and sign for Fulham Sparky and take your garbage with you.......Bridge, Lescott (also crap last night) and RSC......

Gaz, I don't think there is a general hatred for Bridge. While he's wearing a blue shirt he'll have my full support, but that doesn't alter my opinion that I think he's a very poor fullback. It's no coincidence that Chelsea moved heaven and earth to get Cole from Arsenal at which point Bridge drifted into obscurity (aside from the odd cameo appearance).

micah has also impressed me in pre-season, he's looking strong and confident and doing very well bursting forward with purpose. if mancini can just get him concentrating better......
good luck javi if you go - your a decent footballer...............

Off those bought by the previous manager or who were already at city before the takeover, Richards, Kompany, Vierra and Zabaleta also fall into this category and will not be sold. I would have also said Nedum but after soccer am I think he will be moved on.
This strategy will allow us to have a smaller squad of stars all playing regularly and happy while beefing up the rest of the squad with potential young stars of the future.
