Thierno Seydi suggested in a radio interview that Drogba could leave Stamford Bridge before the transfer deadline and said there had already been dialogue with City.
Yet City, who have spent around £60million on Jerome Boateng, David Silva and Yaya Toure this summer, insist there is no truth in Seydi's remarks.
A City spokesperson said: "There has been absolutely no contact. We have not spoken to him and there is no foundation to this."
Drogba, 32, was the Barclays Premier League top goalscorer with 29 as Chelsea won the title last season.
The Ivory Coast international has scored 84 goals for the club since his £24million signing from Marseille six years ago.
Seydi said the player was happy to remain with the Blues but, at his age, had to consider good financial offers from elsewhere.
"Today he is at Chelsea," Seydi told French station RMC. "There might be surprises before August 31.
"I have not talked to just anybody. The only contact I have had, directly, was Manchester City.
"But at the moment we remain on the status quo. We're listening to everyone, but to separate Didier from Chelsea is not a simple affair, because all the conditions are met for him to flourish there.
"He is 32 years old and I'm open to everything. As he improves year on year he is still hungry for challenges.
"At his age I can't hide the financial aspect. The club which wants Didier will have to put up the money."
Seydi also opened up the possibility of a return to Marseille for his client.
Drogba only spent a year with the French club but is still revered at the Stade Velodrome.
Seydi added: "Didier has always said that he dreams of ending his career at Marseille. But there is a gulf between dreams and reality.
"What is certain is that at the present time he is very happy at Chelsea.
"That said, it is not forbidden for us to lend an ear to what is being said and written."
Meanwhile, Tottenham are ready to step up their bid to lure Craig Bellamy from City after losing out on Joe Cole.
Bellamy’s future at Eastlands is uncertain after the £25m signing of David Silva from Valencia.
Boss Roberto Mancini is under no pressure to sell the Welshman but is keen to trim back his squad.
The Blues have already secured Silva, Jerome Boateng and Yaya Toure and are set to add Serbian left back Aleksandar Kolarov from Lazio for £16m and are also looking to tie up a £30m deal for Inter Milan’s teenage striker Mario Balotelli.
Bellamy, who turned 31 last week, faces the prospect of limited first-team opportunities at Eastlands next season, even with the demands of domestic and Europa League campaigns.

bellamy has got to stay. he can play an important role in the squad rotation system next season. at times, he was one of the only players who really rolled their sleeves up and got stuck in last season. letting him go, especially to spurs, would be a mistake.
With regard to spurs looking at Bellemy the n Redknapp has been quoted to say that they wonr pursue Bellers because of his wage demands and that their looking at other targets!
"Bellamy, who turned 31 last week, faces the prospect of limited first-team opportunities at Eastlands next season, even with the demands of domestic and Europa League campaigns"
If he only plays half our games that will be 35 matches in all competitions,so 1 game a week, that will be good for him and his knee and good for us. KEEP HIM!!!!
go take your head for a wobble u rag muppet
Great signing, obviously joining a massive club for everything but the money. Drogba Eurropa league here we come

TICK TOCK TICK TOCK
lets roll out your new signs this summer
maybe owen will still have 3 games left in his little legs
Bellamy faces the prospect of limited 1st team appearances. He heard this before. About a year ago. Can't think of any better squad player with a mentality that will win you a lot of extra points coming campaign. Unless he wants to move on himself, which I very much doubt tbh.
Good City comes right out dismissing claim of Drogba's agent, who clearly wants to do another Terry for trying to upgrade the players' contyract on the back of our club. P-o.
Last season for the first half I would have been petrified to lose Bellers.....especially with no Robinho or Petrov-but after he lost us the game against the Rags and Spuds, and he still seems very unhappy with Roberto....I hope he stays but if he can't come right then off he must go......
Well done City and Vicky Kloss. Nip these storys in the bud , Another agent useing us as Bait ,
Dog Egg,,, What are you talking about , your a mess mate nine oclock in the morning mate and your on Man City page ? I say know more
Are muy words untrue?
Feeling the pressure ancoats08 ?
bellamy let the side down last season with a midfield who were equally as poor. when the chpis are down and the pressure is on city don't have what it takes to deliver.this qas seen three times last season when they were dumped out of the FA cup by stoke losing 3-1 in a game filled with a lack of finishing ability from Ciy's part, they didn't have the figh t when man utd finished them off for the second time and as such the team needs complete restructuring if it is to suceed anytime in the future.
putting together big names does not gurantee smooth flowing energetic beautiful football by a team of men who will fight for their club.
most of the new players are there for the money and the fact remains that unless these players gel quickly and perorm like they have never been apart , themncity will undergo more frustration next season with famous highly paid names being rotated on a bench of discontent...
no-body knows how city will perform when the squad is effectively started from a new team of names, least of all mancini and dare i say it least of all city fans...
One thing is for sure, Man United will advance past city for yet another season.
we got robinho
we got robinho
we got robinho
i remember those chants...let's hope it does'nt turn out like that again eh lads?
Not a closet Rag by any chance then ?????
City are under no pressure to sell Bellamy, any wish to move on will be from the player himself. Nobody is forcing him out. Even moving to a club like Spurs would present the same scenario, he would not be playing every game and merely be a squad player (whether behind Bale on the wing or behind Dafoe up front).
The Rag press media have been trying to unsettle Bellamy not just since he got to City but through his whole career. And i'm still surprised to see the number of gullible fans out there who will believe anything they read in tomorrow's fish 'n chip paper.
As for Bellamy, why does Silva's inclusion mean the exit for Bellamy? Nobody knows what position Silva will be playing under Mancini because he can play any of 3 or 4 positions.
And if it is Bellamy's position, and it means Bellers being utilized further up front, isnt it more likely the likes of Crock, Caicedo, Robinho and Jo will be shifted before any attempt to move Bellamy?
Fans can believe what they want but be clear if anyone forces a move it will be the player. And from what I've seen of the pre-season tour, Bellers looks happy as Larry (even with the double training sessions)
We dont need new signings to beat you this season, just like we didn't need them last season?
What was the score in the final manchester derby again?
Where were the city fans at 80 minutes?
Who scored it?
You can't buy love!
You have to breed it!
were on a new breeding programme and the youth will shine through long before city win any titles and when we do we will put you back in your council house after sheik ma tee-shirt has dumped you for failing yet again!
What do you mean when you say "are set" to add Kolorov?
Meanwhile .......news just in from outside of Manchester, Nani is feeling better!
So what if there is speculation about our great club, Like they always say theres only one thing worse than being talked about - and that;s not being talked about!!!
Dog Egg,
Please can you do us lowly blues a favour and contact Roberto mancini and tell him about the importance of getting the team to gel. For all his experience in International and european football I bet it hasn't even occurred to him that getting the team to gel might be important. On the other hand you are quite clearly a leading authority on the subject. Also can you advise him on how to get the team playing smooth flowing energetic beautiful football? I guess for that you need a couple of cloggers like Fletcher and Carrick and a heffalump like Wooney.
Glad there's no truth in the Drogba rumour. Nearly swerved off the road this morning when I heard on the radio we were in talks to buy him for £35m!!!
Hope Bellamy stays, seems to be every couple of day snow that the possibly move to tottenham in mentioned.
Redknapp has conducted a shameless pursuit of Bellamy via his no.1 employer, The Sun. Every day a fresh article on the subject from the paper the spiv writes for. If Bellamy is to go (and I hope we keep him), then Tottenham are the last club in the world I would let him go to.
Benchill nine oclock.
Your another one , up in the morning and straight on the Man City SIte .Get some help mate
you read it here first.
United's existing squad will score more goals and win more games than any of city's new signings in the 2010/11 season...
Copy it and keep it, it'll be back on here at the end of the new season.
dog egg and benchill = OBBBBBSEEEEEEESSSSSED.
They are ALL squad players next season! City may play, we hope they WILL play, about 80 matches next season. No-one must play more than half of those. Bellers problem is his knees, but I really value his influence and attitude so I hope he plays 20 or so games for us next season. DON'T let him leave.
Re---- Dog Egg
No it wont be like that this season its more to the tune of this...
We got Yaya Toure
We got Yaya Toure
We got Yaya Toure
or even
We got David Silva
We got David Silva
We got David Silva
or even
We got Jerome Boateng
We got Jerome Boateng
We got Jerome Boateng
I think you get the picture, with a few more to follow, and Yernited's signing to date,oh yea Chris Smalling or someone,ah well...
As for advancing.........mmmmmmmmmmmm
TICK TOCK
Why oh why are agents not hushed up before clubs actually make contact with the potential targets mother club. They should not be allowed to speak until clubs, have come to an agreement about the player involved. I can understand agents wanting more money for not only the player but themselves but in all honesty find it ridiculous that this happens.
Fifa and Uefa make it difficult with the rules and regulations set for all clubs to abide by, so why on earth can they not do the same for agents? I'm sure all agents are listed on the governing bodies register and that fines can be put in place if this happens. The press are also to blame for this behavior as it can open up many problems for teams that actually want to look elsewhere for players.
Drogba is a good player and to be honest with you all feel we would only get him for 2/3 seasons and then we would have to replace. Why do we not get Dzeko and save us the trouble 3 years down the line. Bellemy is a great player and has been since his arrival and to be honest if he moves on so what, players move on all the time and if we all doted on the players that are here now rather than those that are thought to be moving on we'd be a far better set of fans.
We have all been guilty of it! saying who we should keep but not a one of us is a Manager of a Premier football team, look at when the fans speak out to make changes what happens. Nothing, example "Swales out brigade" I was there on the kippax that day when Franny stood in the stands 10 mins before the end of the game and it was the fans who prompted the change. But what happened, Franny did nothing to take the club forward.
He was an outstanding player for us and a legend in his own right but letting fans dictate is not the way to go. So why should agents trying to make changes by speaking out well before anything is decided, it's the same principle.
Mancini is the best manager we've had in some 30+ years as we are all about to see. If he decides to let players go it's for a very good reason and who stays or goes is irrelevant and Manchester City as a whole will still get my loving and loyal support!
Blessed are the boys in Blue!
Limited first team opportunities? He had limited opportunities last season due to his knee problems, but he is still a great player who can cause problems for any defence, plus why sell him? With us being in four competitions this season, we need a bigger squad of talented players. There were times last season when we were thin on the ground due to injuries, let`s not get into the same situation again. CTID
