Macca and Paulo set to miss out

Manchester City manager Kevin Keegan will be without Steve McManaman and Paulo Wanchope for tomorrow's clash against Liverpool at Anfield.

McManaman sustained an ankle injury in training this week and will be sidelined for the next 10 days, also ruling him out of next week's matches against Charlton and Birmingham.

Wanchope, meanwhile, has not returned from international duty with Costa Rica, although Keegan had anticipated that would not be the case.

Team (from): James, Thatcher, Distin, Reyna, Fowler, Sibierski, Macken, Jihai, Mills, Dunne, Barton, Bosvelt, Sinclair, Wright-Phillips, Anelka, Jordan, Flood, Ellegaard.

So this season is set to carry on like last with Macspiderman constantly injured and then making excuses for being rubbish then! As for Wanchope, it's about time he did a 'Scholes' and retired from international football especially as there is a doubt over his dodgy knees.

Why don't we just pay Mr.Mcmanaman off now ? Has there been a worse acquisition in City's history? Well I suppose there's always Gerry Creaney in that respect but "Macca" must run him close.There again there's always Mr.Sinclair as another contender.........M.C.F.C - rest home by the sea for elderly footballers !!

This squad is starting to look awfully thin. It just shows what a difference a couple of injuries can make. We are now having to rely on the likes of Croft and Flood, neither I think are premiership standard yet, to bolster the squad. Keegan has to bring in another couple of players before deadline day, or we'll be in deep crap.

The good news are:
The game is over an Wanchope is not injured and flying back to England.

The bad news are we lost. Paulo was brilliant the first quarter and then became ghost just like the rest of the team.
Honduras defeated us 5-2. Horrible isn't!

Macca needs to start in the swimming pool and build up some lower body strength. We cant afford any new midfielders and Macca is costing us millions, he owes KK and us the fans a hell of a lot more.
