Vieira lifts World Cup!

He may not have made the France squad, but Manchester City midfielder Patrick Vieira was at the centre of World Cup action on Thursday night.

Vieira, who is a Goodwill Ambassador of the Food and Agriculture Organisation for the United Nations, paraded the famous trophy at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto.

Vieira has had his hands on the trophy before when he won it with France in 1998.

Could he pinch it and at least show England what they'll be missing out on?

If this leads to a boost in food and agriculture, so be it. It is more important than acknowledging the fact that Italy won the world cup.
