Gossip: Ibrahimovic offered to City

Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reportedly been offered to Manchester City.

The Swedish striker has had an inconsistent season and Barca are keen to offload him, according to the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, the Blues have also been linked with Aston Villa duo Gabriel Agbonlahor and Ashley Young.

Ashley Young and Abonglahor will be staying at Villa because O'Neil is staying put...he has been brilliant for Villa and Lerner is no fool.Ibra coming to us with Robi going the other way makes sense....suggest we pay 20m plus Robi.Roberto knows Ibra well and Barcelona is big enough for Robi's ego......

One thing that concerns me about Ibrahimovic is his work rate - one of the reasons Barca want rid. I know in one of the games against Inter the stats. showed that Valdes had covered more ground ! I'd rather have Dzeko but expect Mancini will want to be reunited with his player. I dont like the links with Young and Agbonlahor as neither are good enough to help us win the Prem. Prefer Milner but doubt we could prise him away although he may fancy a move back up north. Like the link with De Rossi but doubt he'll want to miss out on CL football but we do need a player of his calibre in the middle.

Dunno about Ibra, but Agbonlahor would be nice. He is fast and strong and can score too. Would be quite nice to see next to Tevez.

A. Young can be a gem or just a backup, but if he plays on the right for us then we can put A Johnny on the left.

Silly season is here. We're being linked with every player on the planet from Darren Bent (nooooooooooooooooo) to Ibrahimovic. How the hell,we're going to fit them all in the dressing room,I'm not sure.

But,fellow blues,who would have believed when Nicky Weaver saved that penalty against Gillingham in 1999,that 11 years on we would be linked with truly World Class players? Even if not this season,then surely next! And the best thing now is...............we can afford to buy anyone we want!

Ashley Young and Milner would be the Villa players we should raid. Young should also be given a role on the coaching staff as "crossing coach" to teach out players how to cross a ball in with whip and across the 6yd box. The crossing from City this season was certainly not PL standard.

Better forwards that we could go for aside from Ibra and if it was a straight swap with Robinho it would be a good trade. Ibra is better and more reliable than Crock and we'd get Robinho off our books because he clearly has no intention of returning

The Agbonlahor and Young link is blatantly a fabrication and, in my opinion, can be dismissed out of hand. O'Neil has just met with his chairman and I'm sure that he doesn't need to sell.

Ibrahimovic is massively overrated and always has been. I would value him around the 15 - 20 million mark. Not £40 mill, as reported.

May sound daft but I would seriously consider a bid for Zamora in the region of 10 to 12 mill. He has had a great season, holds the ball up expertly, is strong and has an eye for goal. I would see it as a replacement for sick note RSC. We will need a player like that for all the competitions we will be in. We will still have Tevez and Ade (or his replacement). Unless Nimely steps up to the plate, we will need to add a fourth striker. Craig is best on the wing and Robinho will be gone, as will Bojinov and Caicedo etc.

More importantly, if that idiot scot from everton does want Bellamy, we need to reject every bid they make for Bellamy, make a massive hoo haa about it and then finally sell him for about £30m plus Arteta, Cahill and Rodwell.

Young and Agbonlahore would be outstanding signings but I can't see it somehow. A raid on Villa would probably be unsuccessful. I doubt they will sell any of their star players. As for Ibrahimavic, he is a hugely frustrating player. He would be good - but only sometimes! Not too different from Adebayor this year. Lots of ability but inconsistent.

He's also been offered to Chelsea and some Italian clubs in an effort to get him off the books. We don't want cast offs. I don't rate Ibrahimovic. He's got a bad attitude and would not take us forward.

The reason why Barcelona are trying to offload him is so that the money they receive can be used to put a bid in for David Villa. We should by pass them and outbid them for him. Forget Ibrahimovic. He can go back to Italy.

it wasn't too long ago we had corradi,samaras etc, now talk about getting to big for our boots we are now picking and choosing players.

robinho is terrible depending who you speak too, yet bodjonv seems to get a massive vote even though he has never played 3 games in row.

but for those fans saying no is IBRA, have never seen him play live, again i feel full sprint before a basic jog, comes into it with some city fans probably the same ones who would like booby manc to leave or be sacked.

This guy is at the tail end of his career so what benefit will he be to us? The trouble is Mancini really rates him and as we've seen with Vieira, he doesn't appear to be bothered about getting players at the end of their careers. If the figure I read of £40m is being sought by Barca then I would tell them to sling their hook. He might be worth a punt at £10/12m but no more than that. We should be looking at players with sell on value in case they don't settle, not aging has beens.

Young and Gabby are no better than what we have already,we don't need anymore "good" players,we should only buy real quality to enhance our squad
