Robinho's Santos wish

Manchester City striker Robinho has reiterated his desire to extend his loan stay at Santos and hopes talks have already been initiated with the Blues.

Robinho returned to Santos in January, penning a six-month loan deal which is set to expire on August 4.

The 26-year-old, who spent the first three seasons of his career at Santos, has been in impressive form since his return and, having notched up five goals in eight matches, puts his re-found goalscoring prowess down to his happiness.

"It was the right choice," said Robinho.

"I'm good physically and mentally.

"I hope to continue like this until the end of my spell at Santos.

"Where I have to be happiest is within the four lines of the pitch, and this is happening.

"I intend to continue for long. I hope that the board is already addressing this issue.

"You just have to look at my face to see my desire to stay at the club."

M.E.N. Please dont waste my time running stories of; Robbie wants to stay, Robbi wants away, Why not wait till the end of the season then print the NEWS not rumours.( You are a news paper after all!) As a city fan i,m past caring about this individual and will only be interested again when I see him on our pitch.

It`s a pity that his desire is not for the sky blue shirt of City, I would support any player to the death who wants to play for my beloved club, but if not then I`m afraid that support is quickly withdrawn.

I reckon City have been more than patient with Robinho for the return he has given on the investment, but there has to come a time when we cut our losses and accept he won`t cut the mustard in the prem.

Doubt he will play for us again. CTID

Like I've always said Robbie is a right one for saying what people want to hear weather it's us Barca or Santos.

He does however look like he's made his mind up.

Good a player as he is he's gone back with his tail between his legs because he couldn't hack it in Europe never mind the EPL.

Swap him for Neymar.

Nope to a loan extension. Each loan deal effectively runs down his contract/value. I'd cut our losses and readily accept £15m from anyone brave enough to take on the enigma that is Robinho.

Pity, because if he had developed a modicum of mental fortitude over the years to match the skills - he had the potential to be top drawer.

Let him stay, as long as we get most of the money back. He may have bags of talent but totally wastes it with his selfish attitude. Would City have beaten Chelsea with Robhino playing instead of Tevez or Bellamy? The answer as we all know is a resounding NO. If we can't get enough cash back let him come back and play with the juniors until he has the right attitude.

Great player, rubbish attitude and good riddence to him, let him stay over there, just get £15m-£20m for him from them and I will gladly accept that.

I am sick of hearing from him and his desire to get out of the club, if you want so much to get out, then bloody BUY yourself out.

1 good year at the club and then he starts to slag it all off, management, fans, players, weather.....Robi, the smiles are working both ways mate, your smiling in the sun, we are smiling in pursuit of CL football and without carrying showponies like you, who don't want to know.

This week it's Santos-next week it's City.This is getting as boring as the Distin saga a few seasons ago.

All I know is as soon as he got fit at our expense he bottled it,took the easy way out and and ran off to play the big man in a pub league rather than stay and battle for his place to get City a place in the top four.

He has all the skill in the world but like Berbaflop has neither the heart or guts to go with it when the chips are down.

I hope he has a good world cup with the other over-rated solar powered circus acts like Ronaldhino to get his price back up, then City dump the workshy waster on some other mugs asap before the whole "manager doesn't understand me" rubbish starts again.

Translates as 'I've found a league where the standard is poor enough for me to look and act like a footballing God, having failed in proper leagues in Spain and England'. They can't afford him. They couldn't afford him when they took him, they still can't afford him now. What he is doing now is being a very big fish in a very small pond. Of course he enjoys himself when he doesn't have to work hard, when he can swan around the pitch being "expansive" and doing stupid bloody goal celebrations. When it comes to working hard... well that's a different matter. He didn't have the balls to apply himself in Spain, he doesn't have the balls to apply himself here - he doesn't have the guts or the fight to impose himself on a game. He was an appalling buy when we bought him and that hasn't changed in the 18+ months he's been here and the time he's been at Santos. Fact is that to play in the premiership you need to want to play and yes, you will get clattered from time to time and kicked around and that's just football. It was a misguided attempt by Sheikh Mansour to show the world that we mean business. You learn from your mistakes. Sheikh Mansour needs to trust in the manager he has brought in and go with whatever Mancini tells him is needed.
