6 GIVEN Had absolutely no chance with either Hull goal, so he can hold his head high

6 ZABALETA No protective mask needed, but had a belting shiner – still competitive as ever

5 TOURE Needed him to take charge at the back but he fell into the general malaise

5 BOYATA Booked early in the game, and looked hesitant and on edge for the rest of it

6 BRIDGE Still finding his feet after two months out but brought some vitality to left side

6 IRELAND Fish out of water on the right-hand side of midfield and it showed

5 DE JONG No lack of effort, but the shield he normally provides to back four was not there

5 BARRY Put everything in, as usual, but the touch of quality badly needed was sadly lacking

6 TEVEZ Tried in vain to get things moving up front, but found little support

5 ADEBAYOR Still looks like his mind is on other things, even if he did snap up another goal

5 BELLAMY One of those days when nothing went right – not that he hid at all

wright phillips has to play on the right he is a right winger. Ireland is NOT so why play him there. Barry needs 3 weeks off to rest, so play ireland in the mid with de jong. Tevez and bellers up top with petrov on the left. Ade not enough effort mate so bench for you.
Ned has to play in place of boyata, he will have his chance in the future but the sooner lescott comes back fit the better.
We also needs micah back asap at rb caus Zab aint good enough either.

Not one player deserves more than 4. This was just sad. Makes me sorry I was in the Hughes out corner. I don't think he would have put up with such a lame effort.

Simple we aint got the balls for a fight, any one who thinks otherwise are deluding themselves, VIERA christ almighty his days have long gone, with the players weve got mancini should be getting more desire than this gutless performance, Its now looking unlikely we are going to pinch forth spot, even at eastlands we are struggling to depose the so called lesser teams!!!!!
I think the pompy game proves that.

I am a massive fan of his but today he was absolutely useless yet again!

Stephen Ireland - utter joke of a player this season and then to be played put of position was laughable!

Every season we rescue a team destined for Relegation.....Fulham, Portsmouth, now Hull???....

Coach Oslo - Hughes put up with performances like that time after time and left us with the bunch of wimps that we have.Mancini has a tough challenge ahead but I would rather him tackle it than Hughes.

Got to say im hurting badly today, The only one thing i ask of any man who puts that blue shirt on is desire and pride. Desire to walk of a football pitch after 95mins knowing you have give your all, emptied the tank of your last blood sweat and tears.
But me thinks that all comes down to the man in control. Dont get me wrong i HATE manure with a passion, but i have nothing but admiration for SAF,coz until we find the man and can motivate these so called super stars, we will never leave a legacy of dominance in this league.

I appreciate that Mancini when speaking in English is talking in a foreign language but his interviews are just so tedious and monotoneous that I've never been able to concentrate long enough to listen to one from start to finish! God knows how the players go on....

Mancini continues to play left-wingers on the right and leave SWP on the bench. What does he see that no one else can in this tactic? Boyata's inexperience caught him out today. It will be more long ball stuff on Tuesday. Toure cannot cope with big forwards. I hope Kompany is back. I see no real improvement away from home with the new manager. We have been just as spineless at Hull and Everton as we were at Spurs. God help us at Stoke next week. We need a player who will boss the game away from home. Vieira was like that 5 years ago. I would ask Edski Vega how many pens has Bellamy won in the last few weeks? No assists. Don't they count you dimwit?

In fairness to Mancinis decision to play Ireland ahead of SWP I think he wanted Ireland to use his so called close control to give the team shape whilst not over commiting. Put simply we have been quilty of bombing forward which left us liable to counter attacks. That said I think that Stevie has had a shocker of a season thus far. It is as if he believes his own press and has stopped doing the simple things, I suspect that he is sulking at playing right hand side but come on just look at a real quality player who can adapt to any position. It is not as if he is being asked to play in goal! Please dont panic and I know it hurts. I for one am very upset with the team today especially as I have just got back from Humberside through the fog. Just have to row with the misses until Tuesday.

Time to give total football a try, Roberto. Watch the DVDs of us earlier in the season - we were awesome on the attack. Forget the defence, it's just not happening. Go 4-4-2 and all-out attack. Petrov on the left, Johnson/Bellers on the right, DJ & Stevie in the middle. If we're gonna lose playing safe, we may as well throw caution to the wind and start frightening teams... because we're not frightening teams at all now, and that was one of our strengths a few months back.

Just back from another dour performance from Mancini's Maginot Line. All you people who came on here whining about Hughes and his tactics !!! Well Mr Mancini yet again continues to baffle us with his schoolboy tactical play.

1. Why are we playing the only midfielder we have that can influence a game with some creativity, namely Stephen Ireland, on the RW ... AGAIN. Time and time again he got sucked into the midfield, leaving Zabaleta exposed. The right flank being exposed then drew Boyata into areas that he shouldn't be involved in and then gets booked. Boyata spent too much time defending in the right hand corner rather than helping Toure defend our box. Not sure what SWP has done but dear God play him !!
2. Why buy a left footed winger and then bring him on to play RW !!
3. We finally get some shape with a winger playing wide, we score and Mancini pulls off another stunner by immeditely removing our LW with ..... ANOTHER DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER. Since when has Vieira played wide right???
4. Boyata was booked within 20 mins, had his last warning on 55 mins but Mr Mancini left him on when Nedum was on the bench !!
5. De Jong looked very tired today and needs a rest. Vieira and Ireland to play on Tuesday.
6. Get shut of Toure. Whats the point of a centre half that can't jump?? He's pants and a liability. Most def NOT a captain.
Sorry today, once again ... Mr Mancini = 0. Tactically clueless.

PS Johnson looked good tho. At long last a LW who can beat a full back and whip in crosses with pace.

City play better in attack than defence. Your best bet to win something or get 4th place, is to play with
pace and passion. You don't have the type of players [yet] to play Italian. Besides its boring. I know my
blue mates won't like it. We all still remember the good old days in Manchester when we revelled in Lee, Bell {what a marvel}, Oates, Summerbee....... and my lads,Bestie, Law, Charlton, Stiles and the like. Great Derbies for a Greater Manchester.
I hope City get 4th place. I am fed up of London having two teams in the Champions League. It should be Manchester. We deserve two great clubs in our fabulous metropolis.

I have been accused of being a moaner and whinger. But now I see your comments again, that brings into question as to whether Mancini and Kidd can work the magic they supposedly possess. I see Adders Senior now having doubts and he is one of the most constructive submitters on this site.

I hope both of you are now starting to grasp and understand my feelings you too Steve from Poynton who called me a moron a few weeks ago. I was never comfortable with the manner in which Mark Hughes was dismissed and I am far from comfortable with the current management structure in Mancini, Kidd, Cook and Marwood. If Sheikh Mansour caused this problem I hope he reacts soon and axes the whole of the management team. The Viera signing would have been good several years ago but not now.

I will attend matches but make it quite clear. City have an abundance of talent in the squad but we need someone more experienced with the nouse to unlock the key and get the players playing to their full potential consistently.

3 major losses in 2 weeks Everton, Man U and now Hull. I said earlier we will probably finish in the top 10 but not the top 6.

Chairman Mubarak you are also gulity of aiding and abettring rash decision making by people who are out of their depth, this is aimed at Cook and Marwood.

Don't count on the team progressing in the FA cup as it is possible we will fail there too.

Jose or Gus has requested many times please. Out with the cowboys!
