Although he did not get on the scoresheet, the Welsh striker was at the heart of everything City did going forward as Carlos Tevez scored two and Javier Garrido fired in a free-kick.
“For me, obviously I have great affection for Mark Hughes but that’s the nature of the business,” Bellamy told Sky Sports 1.
“You have to carry on if you want to be part of Man City. The players we’ve got, big things are going to happen here and I want to be part of it if I can.”
City did not look at their best early on, but the quality in attack eventually paid against a hard-working Wolves side.
“We didn’t start off very well, Wolves started off very well and put us under a lot of pressure but on the break we’re very dangerous, and that was the key for us today,” Bellamy added.
“In the Premier League you have to work hard, it’s very difficult to get a result in this league. Fair play to Wolves, 3-0 maybe flattered us a little but we have had enough chances to make it 3-0.”
New boss Roberto Mancini can be just as happy with his defence, whose wobbles played a huge role in Mark Hughes’ departure.
A second straight clean sheet will give him reason to cheer even as injuries take their toll on the backline.
Toure and Mancini view
Captain Kolo Toure, who will now leave for the African Nations Cup, said: “We have been working very hard on the tactics and I think we are doing well. This is the second clean sheet and we hope that we keep going on like that.”
Mancini praised the performance of his players after successive wins over Stoke and Wolves.
Mancini added: “I thought that the players were fantastic. After Saturday’s match we’ve had only two days but the players were fantastic.
“I am very happy for them because we played very well.”
Mancini praised his whole team but was particularly impressed by Bellamy and Tevez.
He said: “All the players (impressed me). I think that today Craig, Carlos and the whole team played very well.
“It’s important the team must concentrate during the game.
“For me it is fantastic, English football. In Italy it is impossible to play two games in three days.”

Bellamy......Top Player
Old news MUEN, keep up will ya. I bet it was so hard writing a positive news story about City!
I never had no doubt that Bellamy is commited to City i knew this was a load of rubish Bellamy has been on great form for City. Toure played well tonight with Kompany its a shame that he has is now of to the African nations cup.
Bellers and Tev worked like Trojans (two each!) and they have so much class. I was also impressed with the back four who looked very solid! Not once do I remember a Wolves player getting in a header unchallenged in our box, and the running to cover was good to see, as were the blocks and charge downs we got in on potential shots in and around the edge of our box. A good, hard working display illuminated by some moments of real class. I did think Wolves were unfortunate with the offside which wasn't given - but in the end they were only unfortunate because Garrido exacted the full penalty with such a vicious free kick!
We all knew this ages ago!
top performance tonight - looking solid at the back for the first time this season - Where are all the Hughes lovers now?!?!?!?
Mancini - a class act already - knows when to make a change both tactically and subs and should be given plenty of time to build his team with his style of play
"City ace Bellamy committed to Blues" say MEN
Why wouldn't he be committed to City ? he has a contract, he's a winner, he believes in City !
Oh yeh, forgot, the MEN must have been reading the dross they write along with other rag tops, that's why they questioned Bellamy's commitment. DUH !
Lesson for MEN, don't believe everything you read in the papers (or online).
Please MUEN, old news; keep the focus. Bellers never said the things reported.
When did Bellamy actually state he wanted out ? i cant find such a quote anywhere can we please stick to facts here and stop making rubbish up for the sake of it.
He is staying he is in the best form of his career if he drops out of the welsh team he will have a good four to five years with us.
Kompany looks a serious center back won everything in the air, tactics spot on even subs,nd fair play robbie came on last few minutes nd actually contributed he will get back his confidence with mancini
Bellamy was excellent but my MOM was Tevez. He never stopped running and even popped up to hgead a ball behind for a corner. He may not be very tall but this man has a big heart and lots of guts !
Carlos, we love you! Those poor deluded Reds ! Deprived as well !
lets just hold on a while with the expectations, very pleasing so far but against two very ordinary sides.
just like the first four that we played against at the start of the season when every one started to get carried away.
tevez is now starting to look fantastic. i hope he is the instrument that turns united over just to make them squeal.
Mancini WOH WOH WOH! Mancini WOH WOH WOH!.....He came from Italy-To rescue Man City! Mancini Woh Woh Woh! (repeat till hoarse)
Craig reminds me of the Quarter Horse, excels at sprinting, cutting in, tuff.
Thank you Garry Cook you put your head on the line for our club, the media crucified you ,but hold your head high better times ahead you made the right choices
Very good performance. Impressed with Mancini, we appeared to be 4 3 3 and it was mainly Wolves, he changed to 4 4 2 and it was mainly us. Then the change with Garrido - who was probably on his way in Jan - and a great free kick. The one touch football to the end was great to watch. We put them under pressure when we did not have the ball and wanted to close them down. Full backs much better - at last. Is Ned fit for the next match?
WELL DONE BELLERS - YOUR THE MAN!!
NUFF SAID!!
Great display tonight and excellant tactical nouse from Roberto-keep it up blues
Mancini is a genius. Beat Stoke and Wolves. Wow !!
Nice to see some tactical know how at last, we looked very ropy to start with, untill we switched formation to 442, Craig & Carlos were exceptional yet again, & Vince the prince will do for me, he plays centre half for Belgium the guy is an all round class act, its still early days yet for Roberto but still two good wins,so lets keep behind him untill the end of the season & if he can carry on like this (fingers & toes crossed) we may just have found our man !!! CTID BELIEVE.
Bellamy top class pro, doesnt rise to the greif he gets from the opposition fans, & he only gets the stick he does because they know he can hurt there team, top man CRAIG BELLAMY YOU ARE CLASS & boy am i glad you play for CITY !!! CTID BELLAMY.
Thought I'd never see the day; Andy Gray having something positive to say about the Blues.
Another clean sheet, with some strong tactical decisions when they were needed from Mancini.
Not the prettiest performance, but I'll be happy to see ugly wins all the way to the end of the season.
Sure Mancini will iron out the sloppiness on the ball in our own half that continues to reappear.
Keep it up boys!
Six is better than two.
New managers luck !
A very professional performance all round, while wolves did have their spells the score could really have been 5 or 6 if Bellamy had put away his chances and Tevez had finished that stunning move near the end. Not bad for a game where people are saying we didn't look near our best!
On Bellamy, he is a professional footballer contracted to an increasingly professional football club, so commitment is the minimum expected until he retires or leaves.
