NIGEL De Jong is confident that home comforts can help Manchester City shake off their frustrating run.
The Blues are set play at the City of Manchester Stadium three times within a week, and the combative midfielder wants to make home advantage pay.
The Carling Cup quarter-final clash with Arsenal is sandwiched between Premier League games against Hull and Chelsea.
Despite the tricky nature of the opposition, De Jong is confident City can rediscover their early season form and put a run of six consecutive draws in the league behind them.
"There's a lot of hard games coming up, but I think Liverpool was a good one for us," the Holland international told mcfc.co.uk.
"The final result was not what we hoped for a time but we did well, and we have a good chance for a win at home this weekend.
"Six draws in a row is not what we want, but being at home should count for us. We want a couple of wins now even though we know Chelsea will be a difficult one, and we have the Carling Cup game inbetween.
"But the confidence is there because we are playing three times at home, which will give us a real boost.
"We know we can play against the best sides and that we can raise our game. We have showed that against Liverpool, we beat Arsenal and it was only a narrow defeat to United.
"But we won't underestimate Hull this weekend."
De Jong had to sit out City's UEFA Cup after arriving in the January transfer window last season, and the 24-year-old's says the current hectic schedule is a pleasant reminder of what the season is like when you are battling on all fronts.
"I'm really looking forward to having all these games coming up," said the former Hamburg star.
"The other guys know what it's like already, but the more games you have the more you get used to it and you know what to expect. You can build up a momentum and we have the exactly the kind of squad to cope with it."

Some good results going into Christmas and the New Year will be a real tonic to offset the disappointment of the Burnley, Birmingham and Fulham games, but Lescott needs to set his alarm clock at the start of the game, so he is awake when the ball comes towards him! CTID

Let the opposition take a good long look at this picture on here........I'm trembling just at the thought of him.
The Lincoln branch of the City Supporters Club will be travelling the same road as the Hull supporters, lets hope they are not bad losers.
Come on you blues

Truth is Football isn't like that and results are not predictable other wise we (the fans) would all be rich and the game would be boring. Pity a few fans don't realize that!

10 Matches Unbeaten in league and cup.
If we don't win the papers will say, seven games without a win!!!
We will beat Hull and Arsenal and draw with Chelsea.
I have stated it a few weeks ago, we need maybe need a fresh approach in defence. Put Lescott at Left back, Ned & Toure in Centre and Zab on right.
My team for Hull
Given
Lescot LB, Toure CB(or Kompany), Ned CB(or Richards), Zab RB
Dejong DM
Robhino LM, Ireland CAM, Tevez RM
Bellamy F AdeB F
Give Barry a rest. Once we have a decent lead, take off Ireland, and bring on Kompany. If we get stretched and need a goal, bring on SWP and or Weis.

If for any reason we don't win (Which I am sure will be a harbinger of the apocolypse) will be 7 games without a win in the newspapers.
The team needs to be a lot more attack minded with a strong defence.
IMO
Given
Lescot LB - Toure CB (or Kompany, Richards) - Ned (or Kompany, Richards) - Zab RB
Dejong DM
Bellamy LAM Ireland CAM Tevez RAM (They can all inter switch)
Robhino Attack & AdeB Attack
Options on the bench to slow the game when ahead and other options if we need a goal.

Currently we are 8 points up against the teams we played last year...
Blackburn away (last year 1pt - this 3pts) +2pts, Portsmouth away(last year 0pt - this 3pts) =3pts , Villa away(Last 0pt - This 1pt) +1pt, Wigan away (last 0pt - this 1pt) +1pt , Fulham home (last 0pt - this 1pt) +1pt.
If we had got these results last year, we would of finished in 6th place! So we are making steady progress, even though we are having a bad run at the minute, things are improving! Only one loss! Most of us need to start thinking more positively, stop the moaning and get behind the team!
The atmosphere is pathetic at the minute. Lets get behind the team, starting on Saturday!
It'll be great to win the next 3 games on the bounce. What would that do for our season then???? Semi-finals of the cup, top 4 position! The team needs us to scream the roof tops off for them! Lets GIVE them some confidence back! Dont be holding it against them that they cost so many millions and are on thousands a week! Lets sing their names, as booing dont help nobody!!!!!
So lets stop sounding like spoilt little brats, who are not happy that their 'Rich Daddy' hasnt given them their custom made Bentley yet!!!!! Its takes time to build something of great quality! Just because your 'loaded', it doesnt mean you can speed things up!!!!
Big week ahead guys, we need all the support we can give!
C'MON YOU BLUESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

De Jong should start making bizarre unreasonable threats to intimidate the opposition. I'm gonna nail toast to your head if you don't let me win every tackle....that kind of thing.
