ROQUE Santa Cruz has revealed that Manchester City team-mate Robinho openly talks about joining Barcelona.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has been frequently linked with a move to the Nou Camp of late, though both clubs deny that talks have taken place.
City midfielder Stephen Ireland recently insisted Robinho is happy at Eastlands, but Santa Cruz told a Spanish radio station that the topic of a possible switch to the European champions still comes up frequently in training.
"Of course he talks to us about it," said Santa Cruz. "And the players are cracking jokes about it in the dressing room.
"In the English papers there's a lot of interest about Barca and Robinho is not hiding his desire to play for them one day.
"But I guess we'll see. It wouldn't be difficult [for him].
"To add a talent like Robinho to the quality of players they have would give a different air to Barca because he's got great ability and is a player who pleases crowds because of the way he plays.
"A player that good wouldn't have any problems being part of that side."

Get ready to hear the "i never said that" or "i was misquoted" follow up from the Crock himself.
Now if indeed this came from the Crock's mouth then the immediate result should be that Hughes fines him for only exacerbating this stupid debacle in the media. The likes of Neville and Rooney no doubt knew a deal with Madrid was in place and Im sure Ronaldo had told them, but did you hear those guys bleating in the media to cause further unrest? No because Baconface would have put his foot down.
If he truly said this, this guy is more stupid than he is crocked. As Sacramento Phil said on another forum today, perhaps this is the real reason Hughes paid 17mm for the player: to act as a mouthpiece. Perhaps taking the conspiracy theory a little too far but given the medical diagonosis of "fully fit" involves the guy running on 1 leg, perhaps Phil is not so far off the mark.

One day - enough said.

Lets not delude ourselves here .
Robinho is trouble and has been trouble wherever he has played .
Yes we can all say he's probably the best player in the world and he is at City , but the fact remains he is a passenger in most games ( when he is fit ) and now his fellow teammates seem to be growing tired of the constant media of will he wont he leave .
RSC has no other reason to disrupt the harmony of what happens behing closed doors other than he and probably more are growing tired of it all .
Im all for having a talent like Robinho gracing our shirt ......... but at what price ????
We have a really important game this week and believe me if we dont get anything out of this game the media will have a field day .

Robinho lost interest in City by about Christmas last year, I am not sure what he was promised apart from a truck load of cash but if he thought he could be a luxury player doing flicks and tricks whilst others put the graft in then he was wrong, the reality is the Premier League is physically tough and even though he has shown he can do the business I suspect he just doesn’t want to.
Hughes has bent over backwards to accommodate Robinho but if he doesnt want to be at City then there isn’t much point keeping him against his will.
Robinho aside, City are making good progress, teams do not go direct from one that loses a lot to one that wins a lot, there has to be an in between and that is a team that doesn’t lose a lot and approaching December City have lost one game.
Rome want built in a day, keep the faith.
