The City midfielder fell foul of new national manager Dick Advocaat's hardline regime, and was left behind as the rest of the squad headed across the French border for a friendly against Qatar.
Kompany, who missed City's 3-3 draw with Burnley after a scan showed up a slight ham- string tear, had originally been left on the bench for Saturday's 3-0 win over Hungary.
Advocaat had disciplined him for being five minutes late for a team meeting, despite the fact the Kompany - who plays centre half for his country - is one of the squad's star names.
He played in the second half, but on Monday lapsed again. Given leave to attend his grandmother's funeral, Kompany was told he had to be back in the team hotel by 8pm, but did not turn up until midnight. Advocaat was said to be angry as the player had not phoned or texted him, and he was axed from the squad.
CITY's Under-15s will play Czech Republic side FC Brno on Sunday. Their Under-13s face Altrincham Grammar Under-13s on Saturday morning before the Under-15s take on City at Carrington.

Now he can't get injured on international duty - and what are Belgium ever going to win anyway?

I want to see Bellamy getting a starting berth up front, not in midfield, and I want to see Tevez and Adebayor scoring their hearts out to keep the other shirt.
I want to see Onouha come in to central defence and I want to see Lescott moved to Left back. I want to see Richards back in for Zabaletta.
I want to see all three substitutes deployed early enough in the game to make a difference, i.e just after half-time, not in the 86th minute.
I want to see City achieve a famous victory over Liverpool, or at the very least go all out for the win even if they lose.
I DO NOT want to see City set a new all time club record for most consecutive league draws.

that's one of the dopier suggestions i've read in a while. have you not heard of injuries...? against liverpool they would cost us. (as would failing to put de jong on gerrard, as you also seem to suggest, and bringing in richards for zabaleta, if they play ryan babel)

I respect your opinion. I however have a very different view that we are making our substitutions far too late in games. There was a 38 year old outfielder playing for Burnley for heaven's sake. We should have enough athleticism in our squad to run teams ragged and then bring on three more to run them even more ragged.
You are too cautious Tony Book. Do you realise that if City draw this one they set an all time club record for most consecutive draws?

The conversation went like this VK: "oh no, Ive been turned over once by Advocatt for being late, what shall I do?", SI: "Dont worry, how many Grannies do you have?, tell him one has croaked, that will have him eating out of your hand - honestly!".
