City draw Arsenal in Carling Cup

MANCHESTER City have been drawn at home against Arsenal in the Carling Cup quarter-finals.

City have already beaten the Gunners once this season, winning 4-2 in the Premier League at Eastlands.

Full draw:

Blackburn v Chelsea
Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur
Portsmouth v Aston Villa
Manchester City v Arsenal

Matches to be played the week commencing November 30.

This is a great draw for City!

Chelsea could easily dip out at Blackburn and Villa could fall at Portsmouth. I can see both City and United in the Semi Finals and are both showing 4-1 for the cup. Chelsea only marginal favourites at 100/30.

The bookies seldom get it wrong and deep down I sense that we are off to Wembley to bring back the League Cup!

think any draw at home, at this stage of the competiton is a great draw, if wenger continues to play his youth team, we stand a very good chance of progressing, and over two legs, in the semi,s i would fancy us against anyone, even chelsea,,,

This will be no easy tie...hope we keep the ball a whole lot better than we did in the 1st half against Scunthorpe when the passing was often sloppy and inaccurate.

Arsenal have Chelsea on the sunday before this game and are in a spate of playing Champions League in the week before and after. Likelihood is that Whinger will play his kids.

However, saying that the kids play good football so it should be a good game. Still these are the types of games we should be relishing and winning at home.

Squeezing every penny out of priviliged kids in the community and getting as much mileage out of every competition.

If we had to play one of the three remaining big teams we'd all chose Arse @ home, so we can't be disappointed with the draw.
We'll have to play well mind, but we can get the better of their fringe players.
