Sheikh Mansour trails Mittal in rich list

CITY owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al Nahyan is no longer the richest man in British football.

His £17billion fortune has been topped by QPR shareholder Lakshmi Mittal (£18.4bn) , according to the 2009 FourFourTwo.com Rich List.

Third is Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich with £7.8bn - an increase of £800m on last year.

David Beckham is in a league of his own in terms of player value, with a fortune of £125m.

He is well clear of Old Trafford pair Michael Owen (£38m) and Wayne Rooney (£37m).

Difference between Mittal and Monsour.....

Monsour is actually BUILDING UP THE CLUB!!!

Couldnt give a monkeys chuff who is the richest. We are extremely fortunate to have an owner that invests heavily in our club. How much money has / will Mr Mittal be investing in QPR?

Hmmm. . . So Owen and Rooney combined couldn't even pay a years interest payments for their club??

1, 2, 3 . . awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Nonsense
Mansour's wealth runs into hundreds of billions - this so-called benchmark is significantly wide of the mark. Nor is Mittal the owner of QPR.
City's owner has access to wealth which is unrivalled in the world of football. Nothing has changed.

Citijen,

Brilliant! lol

Our glorious, esteemed owner actually puts his money into the club, that`s the difference. I didn`t hear of QPR putting in a bid for Kaka in the summer did you? CTID

Report This Reply

Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we are in trouble, it looks like he is down to his last 10 or 12 BILLION!!

Oh well, onwards and upwards,

So when is Mittal going to put his hands in his pockets rather than leave it to the dodgy Italian? Meanwhile Martin Edwards is worried what might happen if the Glazers pull out. Bit late for that isn't it butchers boy?

Report This Reply

Spot on citijen. So I hope the gutter press will now go and bug QPR instead. For a start rant and rave about how the richest owner is not doing much for QPR.

Report This Reply

Good. Now all the bile from journos can migrate to QPR.

This has been published just to knock our title of "richest club in the world", it is more anti-city propoganda, no other reason, it's a pathetic attempt to erase our prestige in this area away. I don't believe it, but who gives a stuff anyway?, even if he doesn't have as much of a pesonal fortune as this Indian steel magnate, who's the one actually using what he does have to the benefit of the football club??? Besides, the Sheik's surely got access to the coffers of ADUG which are bulging to the tune of approx £550 billion are'nt they???
On a similar note, but turning it upside down, notice in the daylies today that old misery Martin Edwards says he's concerned at United's debts, all £699million of them. Mega

Report This Reply

So according to 442 he is only now worth £17 billion. Lets put it another way would you rather have owners who are worth £17 billion or owners who have put your club into debt at a rough figure of minus £850 million. Tough question!!

Has Shrek really got 37 mill in the bank??!! It really is a funny old rock and roll world....

BUT WHEN ARE WE GOING TO WIN SOMTHING?IVE BEEN WAITING YEARS AND SICK OF BEING THE BUTT OF JOKES AT WORK.

Report This Reply

So What!

As long as there is enough money for the club and the owners keep investing, who cares!

Report This Reply

Thats just his personal wealth, his company ADUG are worth 550billion.

Yes, come on the great British media, let's have some bile directed at QPR now.

They are the richest club (albeit that the billionaire only owns 20%) but the better story is that one of the other owners is that cheat Briatore, oh how words come back to haunt you..... remember what he was saying about us during the Kaka fiasco?

I'll remind you.......... "You saw when (Brazilian striker) Robinho arrived at City it looked like they had solved every problem. And now it looks like the team is very close to going down. It's like QPR last year," said Briatore. "I think this is completely mad, for respect as well. You have the people in the grandstand who make 14,000 pounds a year. Seeing all this money go to one player for me is not moral at all."
