Ben Haim moves to Portsmouth

Tal Ben Haim

TAL Ben Haim has completed his move to Portsmouth on a four-year deal.

The Israeli centre back, who joined City in 2008 for around £5m, has fallen down the pecking order at City and his exit was expected.

"I'm very happy to be here at Portsmouth," he told the club's official website. "It's a big challenge because after four games we have no points but I'm ready for the challenge."

How as this guy moved on a free transfer? is the good doctor that short of cash that the sheilk has helped him out?. CFL.

Poor business by City, but probably the only bit of poor business done by Hughes in his time at the club. And if I remember rightly, we signed him when Dunne was um'ing and ah'ing over his new contract last year so needed cover.

Never settled, never fitted in. Never going to be good enough for where we hope to be heading.
Wouldn't be upset if the Dunne and Petrov deals fall through.

No mention of a fee. If Hughes had listened to the fans at the time he'd have never bought him. What an utter waste of £5m plus his exhorbitant wages as well. What business would allow it's manager to waste that kind of money in the space of 12 months and let him get away with it? Even more galling is that he let Corluka go because he'd signed him.

not good enough for City, wonder how much we sold him for, presume we didn't get back the £5 million we paid for him! still, its another player who won't be in the first team shifted on.

fac51...joker...do you spend your life in denial ? do you never make mistakes ? do you understand football ?
chelsea bought him and dont see loads of abuse going their way. yes we bought him but a stop gap was needed at the time with limited funds. he's an ok player but nothing more so he's off to pastures new. instead of you moving on with the rest of us you want to slate hughes. well done fella.

How come the Richard Dunne transfer hasn't gone through yet? i wonder if it's down to personal terms. That plus the well known fact that Dunnie doesn't really want to go. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Richard Dunne is still a City player come 5o'clock this afternoon.

You wasn't really given a real chance and run in the side but i didn't think you deserved one with Dunne, Onuoha, Richards and Kompany (if need be) was there last season....This season you had no chance at all!

I only ask that you do not play a blinder when we take on Portmouths at home! :-)
