MANCHESTER CITY are preparing to shed three more players as their incredible turnover of playing staff continues.
Benjani is being lined up for a £1.5m move to Hull, although an unnamed second club is set to hijack the deal ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline and reports suggest the move to the Tigers has broken down over the player's personal terms.
Tal Ben Haim is interesting Portsmouth, with further talks taking place before Sunday's game at Fratton Park, and Javier Garrido may move to Racing Santander.
Richard Dunne's £6m move to Aston Villa is expected to be completed before the 5pm deadline.

Looks like Guardiola has dispelled the notion of making a bid for Robinho so he will be staying.
Let's hope Petrov is not on his way out either.

He always seemed like a class act to me - Good luck to him - Hope he goes back to Pompey - where he will get a warm welcome form fans that will still adore him.
As for the other 2 - they are surplus and belong on fringe teams - I'm afraid. Javier had potential - but just didn't seem to fit - and is now 3rd string after Bridge and Sylvinho. Tal - Well - that is the one signing that hughesy made that I have say didn't work (I don't count Jo since Hughes was not part of that decision - just had to rubber stamp it).

Tal Ben Haim - £4m..... Hughes bow your head in shame.....
Garrido - Good Riddance
Dunne - £6m a bargain for Villa however if you believe the papers he will be given a £6m golden handshake so we won't see a penny!

Dunney hasn't even signed for Villa yet. Benjani wants too much money for Hull's liking and despite repeated rumours no one has offered a bean for TBH. So possibly only Garrido going back to Spain likely. The 'Tottenham for the top four brigade' are hard at work trying to convince anyone who will listen that they are after Petrov, although how 'flash 'arry' sees him as a replacement for Modric god only knows!
I see we have loaned out Ryan McGivern now so there is no chance of him getting into the first team as cover for Lescott or Toure.
This is all speculation and all we actually know is that Benjani is too expensive for Hull.
Did anyone notice this morning that SSN kept saying Distin made his debut for Everton after signing from Manchester City!! They amended it at about lunchtime then started saying we scored after 3 minutes yesterday and that Stoke are fourth in the premier league. I notice that 'it's never been about the money but about the club' Terry has wheedled a 5 year contract out of Chelsea.LOL

Depending on which paper you read the total payment will be between £7.6 and £9.4 million.
Benjani was very reluctant to leave the Portsmouth area and managed to miss two flights to Manchester, arriving at Carrington at 11.00 pm for his medical. Despite the delay the transfer went through but clearance for him to play was delayed until after the 5th of February.
It was stated in some papers that in signing for City he had doubled his £25k a week wages.
Sven's generous offer to him is now preventing City from selling him to clubs like Hull, unless they just loan him out and pay part of his wages as they have had to do in the past!

Ferguson sticks to United transfer policy.....
TRANSLATION..... has anybody got players they don’t need as we have no money in the kitty, we are so much in dept and the owners have taken all the transfer money to pay a little bit of it off,we cannot rely on refs for penalties and sending offs, own goals from every team every week, any ideas?????

As for TBH and Benjani the truth is both are average players who happened to have a decent season between them. It's not really their fault that we paid over inflated prices for them and in fairness to them they both seem more bothered about playing first team football and would welcome a move, unlike Danny Mills who sat around pulling a wage for doing nothing.
As we enter the final 21 hours of the window I am still hopeful of another signing, as for all the money we have spent we are still light in the creative midfield area and dare I say it in the rightback birth,as neither Richards or Zabeletta are good enough. Come on Mark spend some more cash and ensure that we have the required strength in depth to make a real impact on the Premier League.
