JUNE 26 marks the anniversary Marc-Viven Foe's death.
Foe played on loan for the Blues in the 2002-2003 season and was a fans' favourite for his midfield ability and committed style.
He collapsed and died while playing for Cameroon against Colombia in the Confederations Cup on June 26, 2003. He was 28.
Foe scored City's last ever goal at Maine Road and his no. 23 shirt has been retired by the club.
Club Secretary Bernard Halford told
www.mcfc.co.uk: "Marc-Vivien was popular with fans and fellow players, and the shock of his loss is still as fresh today as it was in 2003.
"He never gave less than his best and will always be remembered with affection by everyone connected to Manchester City."

Did'nt really get chance to get going fully at City & I am sure that the next season he would have really bossed our midfield. Always played with a smile on his face not scowls like some we know, but god bless.

Foe was a top defensive mid-fielder who had a great season with us.

My two sons were to young to notice when he passed away, but I have ensured that they know about him and the memorial garden at Eastlands.
RIP Marc.
