well if all goes to plan, maximum points from the first 5 games will set us up nicely for the meeting with the rags at old trash- ford

Think 10 or 12 pts from the first 4 games is definitely achievable.

Need to get off to a good start before the games vs Arsenal and Manure

WHY ARE WE AWAY FIRST GAME AND AWAY LAST GAME..

Report This Reply

Well that opener should demonstrate whether we've been able to rectify the away deficiencies from last season!

Also the christmas period looks pretty kind - let's hope the boxing day stoke at home is as fun as the hull match...

How come we start and finish the season with away games? Isn't it the norm that if the rags are at home on the opening day we finish at home, why have they got both home matches?

We have the chance to be pshing hard at Christmas followed by a window to expand the squad as needed (injuries etc). March to may is when the real work gets done, we need a squad that will push on then.

i'm older than you robbinho98 so i can remember further back. I'm sure we were at home in 1912 or perhaps it was 1911. Anyway it was quite a time ago!!

Stitch up!!!

The "computer" has given Utd the most gentle of starts against three cannon fodder teams, they also have loads of easy games in the first three months.

We have been stitched with tough games from the off that include Arsenal at home and Man U away in the first 5!

A disgrace!

In days gone by, if you had a Home fixture at the start of the season, then you always had an Away fixture at the end and vice versa............. City being Away and Away has happened too many times in recent years, what is going on????

I will stand corrected if someone can show me differently, but percentage wise, we seem to be Away more often than not at the start of the season.

I'm still worried about Eto at Carrington (yesterday's comments. Did he take a flask and a sleeping bag with him to Carrington?

Typical City moaning about Uniteds fixtures,When will you get over the fact that it's a random selection,But one thing I can guarantee all other 19 teams in the Prem look to see when they get the Champions of England, Its their game of the season

palomablanca, manchester.

I would be more than happy NOT to play Man U and when they do a Leeds we wont have to, now get back to the establishment side.

FA in Utd's pocket.

And another thing!!

It isnt random, fact!

Like any computer programme you put in a list of criteria so for Utd its

"play bottom teams in first three games, never have back to back games against top sides"

For City its "give them a rough start with lots of back to back games against top half and even top 4 teams on several occassions follow these with away games to other top 6 sides and with a bit of luck they will be out of touch before we get to November just like last season"

Heh Fellas

Great piece on the bbc sport website about just how complex a job it is to set up the fixtures

Worth a read to see just how tough a job it is,the phrase "you cant please all of the people all of the time" spring to mind!!!!

You rag muppet.... in the first 20 postings (must seem a lot for you), I think there is one mention of United. We are not bothered who you play, in fact I haven't even looked who you play on the first day of the season and I am confident a great number of my fellow Blues will have no idea either!

The Premier League Champions always get the first game at home, It has always been that way
