ROBINHO insists he does not have any problems with City manager Mark Hughes.

The Brazil forward is facing disciplinary action after leaving the club's training camp in Tenerife without permission.

Robinho returned home to Santos, claiming he had to deal with a family matter.

He says he intends leaving in the next few days and expects to face Newcastle on January 28.

There has been talk of a rift with Hughes but Robinho says that is not the case.

"I have a good relationship with Mark Hughes and have always respected his decisions," he stated on his official website. "He is the boss!"

Robinho, who arrived from Real Madrid on transfer deadline day for a British record fee of £32.5million, feels he has settled in well to life in England.

"I like living in Manchester and I have made many friends at the club and at the city, since I arrived last year," he said.

"I admire the Manchester City fans, who are true lovers of football and loyal to the players.

"I am looking forward to delivering as many goals as possible to help our team move to the next level".

However he could find himself hit in the pocket for leaving Tenerife one day into the training camp.

Executive chairman Garry Cook has already indicated that if he feels a breach of club discipline has occurred, Robinho can expect to receive a fine unless his version of events deems the move unnecessary.

If the club needs to fine him, get it done and draw a line under it. Get back to doing what you do best robby lad, entertain the (real) fans and scare the life out of the opposition with your exquisite skill and vision, as you have been doing all season.

if he has gone to brazil without being given permission. then he must be fined. you cant have one rule for one, and one rule for another. i have a feeling if he does stay. we are going to have more problems with him. it might be best to get rid of him now. he seems to think he's bigger than the club... and id rather have somebody who puts his life on the line for city. not just turn up for 10-20 minutes of a game. when he feels like it...

This is second time Robinho has gone back to Brazil during his short stay with us. If, as has been hinted, he has gone back this time without the Club's permission, this is bad for team morale (they will all suspect 'preferential treatment' and disregard of club rules.) It is like two steps forward and three steps back with City. We are all excited by the new arrivals: Bridge, Bellamy and DeJong - but the gloss is being taken off it with the Kaka saga - and now this. On the plus side: we are really making great strides to get the personnel and performances promised, in what is after all: "work in progress"

Well said Blue Emu. What troubles me is why people are so quick to agree with gutter press stories, even some city fans, when he has now stated several times since joining the revolution that he is happy, to me he has certainly played with a smile. Get him fined if we have to and move on.

He is trouble, and in my experience, because they are so vital to the team we dont see them for what they are and finish up running with them far to long " it will all end in tears and recriminations"

Robbie, all true city fans love you pal, looking forward to seeing you terrorise the Newcastle defence next weekend.

I am also looking forward to having a walk round to the press box next weekend and letting the Sun and Daily Mirror reporters aware of my feelings regarding the treatment of the club over the last week or two. I imagine I will not be the only one.

The bitterness towards City and our owners at the moment from some sections of the media has crossed the line.

This abuse should unite the club.

If he has done something wrong I would say dont fine him, because you will be giving the news papers more fuel. We need to show our humanitarian side. God be with you.

I hope I'm very wrong on this bad feeling I have.. It started with his statement re "helping to build the world class team that the clubs owners assured me they would when I signed" This said after we lost Kaka but got Bellamy. Building a world class team with Bellamy in it??? What does this say to Robbie? Now he has come out with a declaration of happiness, praise for the Boss and fans,etc etc and Chelski are sniffing at the door. Worrying times. If we cant keep Robbie we really would be a laughing stock!

1. worrying about whether our £32m pound forward is pondering a move to London to be with his pal of a manager.

2. just missing out on signing the best player in the world

3. being 5 points of a top 7 place in the Premier League (with a game in hand on some teams).

cant understand some of you, if robby leaves for chelsea we will be a laughing stock. He has already made us a laughing stock by walking out of the training camp. I dont believe his excuses for one minute. it now has the media rubbing their hands together with delight. He wants his a-re kicking big style and I hope MH gives it him good. I personally would not play him against Newcastle and give another a chance. I dont care if he is our top scorer he isnt bigger than the club and he needs to be told so. He respects Hughes, RUBBISH in fact I dont think by his actions that he respects any of his team mates.

STICK BY ROBBIE we dont know what is going on back in Brazil he must have some important reason for returning. He has been one of the bright lights this season. Just read the Henderson article in the Telegraph rag if you read it you will realise we have to stick together. These outsiders are just green with envy and are trying to bring us down so lets not let it happen and give our own the benefit of the doubt. COME ON CITY !!!

Robinho backs Hughes. This is laughable. He bails to fly off to Rio for a party while his teammates train for a match next week and he backs Hughes? This boy is a cancer in the dressing room. He has a history of it. He can play a bit, I'll give you that, but this is not the type of character you want to build your world domination on. Neither is Bellamy. He'll be out fighting in town this weekend.
Robinho clearly displayed a lack of respect for the owners, the club, the manager and the supporters. Get rid now!

Ronaldo was crowned World Player of the year, yes? Voted for by coaches and captains of national sides, but what do they know. They, just like the world press, are probably biased towards City.
And you need to get over your "Manchester's only real team" nonsense if you're going to dominate club football throughout the world. You just might gather up some supporters from outside of the neighbourhood along the way. But don't let them into the club. This way you can stay small time.
And Dublin is nowhere near Manchester. We love our football. Hence you'll find mostly united supporters there. Glory hunters no doubt! I think Stevie Ireland is from there, though we're embarrased to admit that, since his mental breakdown and all.....
Interesting that you never commented on the Robinho debacle. I know, what can you say, utterly defenceless...
