The England midfielder insists that all the City players are solidly lined up in their support of boss Mark Hughes.
And he slammed all those who dare suggest otherwise.
"By time every negative rumour reaches the 1,000th person it has become something different than when it started," he declared in the wake of yesterday's 5-1 drubbing of Hull.
"Ask any of the players and they will tell you that there are no problems between any of the players or the manager and coaching staff. People could see that on the pitch yesterday.
"There is too much talk going on from people who don't know what is going on. Until they are in the dressing room and know what is what they shouldn't try to guess what is going on in.
"We have never been down on ourselves as we know we have plenty of talent in the squad. Now we have to repeat that form at Blackburn."

Much of that loose talk has been centred on the Blues' Brazil contingent and boss Hughes, deserves plenty of credit for bringing Elano back into the fold when he could easily have left the midfielder kicking his heels on the sidelines. At the same time the player also should have a pat on the back for responding in the best way to being dropped.
The 5-1 win was the best possible tonic for a manager suffering from a flu virus.
"We were delighted with the way the team responded to the defeat at West Brom when we let everyone down," said SWP.
"Straight from the off we looked determined and when we get our tails up the quality of our play can be brilliant.
"Stevie Ireland has put in near enough the complete midfield performance. His understanding of the game, his passing and his eye for a goal are all top class.
"He was outstanding and both Robinho and Elano have been excellent.
"Elano did really well against Hull. I got a response. He showed he wants to be part of what we are doing. He had a positive impact on the game. And Robinho's performance showed what we have been missing while he has been injured.
"Now the trick is to back it up tomorrow. Blackburn was a club that was good to me but my sole focus is on earning another three points."
Hughes will take a late look at Micah Richards and Felipe Caicedo who both picked up slight knocks. If they come through he is likely to name an unchanged side.

But I will say one thing. If nothing is wrong, or has been wrong, then why the pitiful performances recently?
Could it be, wrong players on the pitch? Players out of position? If yes, the lads were hunky dory with all that??

Most of us scan the speculation on various websites.
I'm also sure that I am not the only one who sees Source: Mirr#r, and instantly thinks 'well thats not happening then!'
They have consistently been the most inaccurate, anti-City rag mag out there.
They even make The Bum look good.

As for the Chinese whispers and green eyed monsters at other club and in the media.
The Club did'nt buy the new owners they had the good sense to buy the club after seeing the fantastic potential that Manchester City has as a football club. We have a long and fantastic history, we have an incredible fan base and then a youth set up that for me is without doubt the very best in the country. We have a manager that given enough time, could prove to be every bit as good as any other top class manager.
Not many other clubs have these things going for them and if they did they were probably not for sale.
Personally I'm getting more than a little fed up with all the envy some pathetic clubs and media pundits are showing, it say's far more about them as fans and people than anything else. They are probably just the same if their mate gets a new car or a promotion at work, these sort of people can't stand anyone else getting on in life.
City fans can leave these type's behind on the platform when City's train really starts to roll.

On December 23rd you posted an article that Elano was about to be kicked out of COMS due to in-fighting with Mark Hughes. Today you have published a contradictory statement from SWP which if true suggests that you must have 'created' said article about Elano.
Here is your direct quote from SWP
"There is too much talk going on from people who don't know what is going on. Until they are in the dressing room and know what is what they shouldn't try to guess what is going on in"
So was the Dec 23rd article factually based or was it sensationalistic journalism?
Whatever does Mr Spencer make of it all?

Lets see how excited we are if we lose to Blackburn as it will take a more resolute display than this.
However an entertaining display on Boxing Day is always welome.

Hughes isn't out of the woods for me yet, the table doesn't lie and I think we can say that it is not the quality of players we have that have led to our league position.
I also noted that in The Times recent interview with SI not once does he attribute his form this season to Hughes, his coaching or his support. This was something that a lot of people had used in defence of Hughes, yet it appears to be solely of Stevies own efforts.
Also I see on Sky Sports that the former Argentina manager Basile has recently claimed he was approached by City. It may be smoke and mirrors on his behalf to find a job, but conversely there is no smoke without fire! Good manager but for me is too old at 64 to build anything long term.
Anyway let's see what tomorrow brings and look forward to some sensible signings in Jan: Heskey, Valencia/Alanzinho (looks and plays just like Geo! but younger, better and left footed/left winger), Fellaini/Annan.

I think they can do it this time if they leave cassy on for the full 90 minutes. as we were great in the first half against hull.
