CITY remain in the relegation places after suffering defeat against rock-bottom West Brom at The Hawthorns.
Luke Moore put the Baggies ahead in an open game after 69 minutes, but Felipe Caicedo struck back with an audacious backheel and looked to have earned City a point.
However, Roman Bedner headed home in the 92nd minute to pile more pressure on Blues boss Mark Hughes.
City, who have now gone six games without a win in all competitions, made two changes from the side beaten at home by Everton last weekend with Robinho (ankle) and the dropped Elano making way for Darius Vassell and Gelson Fernandes.
And the Blues were the more threatening in the early stages and Vincent Kompany had the first attempt on target after a slip by Do-Heon, but his low 20-yarder was comfortably dealt with by Scott Carson.
Albion came close to breaking the deadlock after 30 minutes after Robinson had made a quick break forward to support the attack.
His pass found Bednar who unleashed a fierce drive from the edge of the box which crashed against the post before coming back and hitting Hart and bouncing to safety.
Drive
At the other end Carson was well positioned to grasp hold of a rising drive from Fernandes after a determined run by Vassell had created the opportunity.
The Blues came out strongly after the break and almost took the lead when Pablo Zabaleta squared his pass back to Wright-Phillips whose first-time effort contained plenty of power but flew straight at Carson.
City were forced into a change after 56 minutes when Benjani pulled up sharply and was replaced by Caicedo.
He quickly got involved in the game, forcing Carson to save low away to his right after a powerful run.
However, West Brom went ahead when James Morrison threaded a pass through to former England Under-21 player Moore who kept his cool before sliding the ball past Hart.
Moore was taken off after 73 minutes and replaced by Craig Beattie, but with six minutes left Caicedo levelled matters with a superb backheel which took a deflection and struck the post and Carson before crossing the line.
But in injury-time Bednar headed the winner from a Zuiverloon right-wing cross.
What is your verdict on the game? Have your say.

When we are playing WBA next season in the Championship I hope we have a decent defence by then otherwise we will be dropping into League One the season after!
I feel sorry for Stoke - they are the only POOR team we have been able to beat - Bolton, Middlesboro, Wigan, Fulham, Hull, Newcastle, WBA.... the list is endless this season! We are the easiest club in the Premiership to beat - FACT!
Luke Moore, the only striker that can come anywhere near to equalling Dire Darius Vassells abysmal record.....got his first and only WBA goal in 28 starts! At the other end Dire Darius was instrumental in wasting a sting of chances both to score and to set up his team mates....... Laughable!
We actually deserve to be releagted - there is no creativity, no threat, no final product inb the final 30 yards of the pitch, it's horrrific to watch!
No new signings in January - haha - Imagine a world class player swapping Real Madrid or IInter Milan for Relegation at troubled City?
You really couldn't make it up ....i guess that is why I can only laugh instead of cry! (like I end up doing most weekends)

You can't wait to get the sack can you, s'pose the only problem you've got is to find a safe home for your £5m cheque.
And then its Newcastle United here we come!
Fancy playing an injured Benjani, what a masterstroke, even I did'nt think of that one, sheer brilliance!!
