The 21-year-old is currently at Turkish side Fenerbahce and is up for grabs for £4million, report The Sun.
Kazim-Richards, who plays as a right winger, started his career with Bury and went on to have spells with Brighton and Sheffield United before moving abroad.
Would you like to see Kazim-Richards at City? Have your say.

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
He played brilliantly against Germany in the Euro semi-final but I read someone that one of his former managers said he was a nightmare to manage. Still, can't picture anyone trying to turn Sparky over. I reckon the players' level of fitness is going to be better than ever now. By the way, two City friendly matches are live on Setanta next week. I think against Lucerne and Basle.
I don't know much about this guy so I looked him up in Wikipedia. Oh dear. Mark McGhee does not anything really good to say about him (sort of like those 'X worked here' type references or perhaps 'I know nothing to say in favour of this candidate'). Seems like he may have some problems. Anyone on here ever see him play for our illustrious neighbours at Gigg Lane? I think we could do better but then Hughes does get these players in and makes something of them.
Can't see it myself, he's hardly top drawer is he? Lets pay the premium & go for Bentley or SWP
This lad is a real carthorse. If this is other than a cunning ruse, then I'm worried.
We're not playing Lucerne or Basle. Kasim Richards refuses to track back to defend, when necessary, that's why his managers always pull him off. Definately a NO NO for City.
THE BLUE MEANIE
He only played well against Germany because the German fullback had a nightmare. It wasn't Richards that caused the problem the full back just didn't perform. (And I was one of the people that thought we should have bought the German!
Not exactly a world beater Neal Warnock couldnt wait to sell him, what does that say.
PLEASE stay away.
No thanks.
No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No, No.
Erm .... thats a No.
Dont worry, this is a load of rubbish from The Sun.Pure tabloid speculation.
Not april fools day is it?
He was Turkey's worse player if you ask me,I wouldn't be to pleased if we signed him. Every time he had the ball, their play would break down, usually due to him putting in a terrible cross.
No a thousand times no
Bargepole marks all over his forehead
Let him be a god in Turkey
Let me think............... NO !!!!!
this came from the Mirror so i'd take it with a pinch of salt.
But just for the record the guy is league 2 talent with a premiership attitude.
No thanks
CTID
I fear he could look like a turkey, flapping about on the wing! A better signing for bernard mathews methinks!
A flash in the pan no mark who shouldn't be allowed within a million miles of COMS. I see it's from that rag suck up rag the sun so thank god it's probably as near to the truth as Mugabe is to the Nobel peace prize.
CTID
This is surely a wind-up.
Is this some sort of sick joke by the MEN rag editor? Surely a misprint, maybe going to old trafford as a replacement for ronaldo. This bloke is crap, make no mistake.
100% No! He's simply not got enough for the kind of player we should be looking to attract to the club! I still think we shud go for Patrick Viera after Inter have said he not required next season? Or even Thorsen Frings!
Would be a squad player at best. No better than Vassell, and that's saying something.
no! we might as well sign hossam ghaly! this link cant be true, no!
Actually, he is Ronaldo's replacement for the rags. The Mirror and SUN just got the story wrong. Seriously, he is not City's type of player.
Relax chaps. This is from the Sun. If it's in the Sun or the Mirror, it's almost certainly wrong.
Just look at the some of the names we've been linked with by the press since the end of the season who have NOT so far turned up at COMS: Podolski, Ronaldinho, Robinson, Arshavin, Bentley, Santa Cruz, Samba, Benayoun, Guiza, Diego Milito (or as MUEN put it "City go for Diego!", Stankovic, Annan...and so it goees on.
The press just look at names of players and names of clubs and then amuse themselves by making up parings. It's just a sort of parlour game that sells newspapers. The agents join in too.
OK? You heard this one here first: City to move for Kaka!!? Samaras, Corradi and Mills to go in opposite direction?
