The Republic of Ireland international, himself considered an import by FIFA despite coming through the Blues much-vaunted Academy system, reckons that everyone benefits from the mix of styles and culture.
New boss Sven-Goran Eriksson brought in eight new players in the summer, none of them British passport holders and then amazed the footballing world by gelling them so quickly that they are third in the table after eight straight home wins.
Ireland, Michael Johnson, Michael Ball, Richard Dunne, Nedum Onuoha, Darius Vassell, Micah Richards and Joe Hart are all English speakers who are regularly involved in the squad, proving that talent will shine through no matter how many strange languages frequent the training ground.
And Eriksson has not forgotten the homegrown kids either with Wales' Ched Evans, Kelvin Etuhu and Shaleum Logan all having tasted first team action this season.
It is a potent blend that has dressing room approval at City.
"It may be different at other clubs but here the mix of styles and cultures works very well," said Ireland, who has scored the winning goal in the last two home matches.
"The manager here has brought in quality players from all over the place and we all learn from one another whether it be technique, ways of preparation or training methods.
Influence
"We have shown there is a great spirit and this club has always had a path to the first team for the youngsters and I know the new owner and manager are both keen on the Academy.
"No matter how diverse our dressing room, holding it all together is the skipper Richard Dunne, who is an amazing influence. He is a rock and a perfect captain bringing people together."
Eriksson was not about to argue with the 21-year-old midfielder and insisted that English football would continue to produce enough indigenous talent for the national team and that the issue of foreign players was not just confined to these shores.
"The Premier League does have enough good English players in it to make a successful team," he said.
"When you talk about foreigners, it is the same in Italy where they are world champions, and Spain.
"Look at Inter and AC Milan, there are not too many Italians in those teams.
"The good players like Wayne Rooney and Micah Richards will always come through."
Do you think City have the blend of foreign and home grown players right? Have your say.

We have a good mix of players in the squad and they really do look like they are a 'team' and not just a group of people thrown together to play football - which is great to see!

"worst offenders" were Arsenal and City with I Englishman each, Derby County were "best with 9 English players.
How many Arsenal and City fans wish we were where Derby are?

But as the papers thought Keano must be a good manager because he was a good Rags player.
Can't wait to see him take the Mackens down even though i have nothing against them.

As long as the Premier League remains the best in the world! It doesn't bother me if Martians or Smurfs are turning out every week as long as we have the best domestic league on the planet! The way to win the World Cup is too take the Squad away for a month prior and allow no press, WAGS or mobile phones. If this interferes with a few games at the end of the season then so be it. They do it in Rugby and Cricket so why not football????
Anyway international football dull!
What I am worried about is the lack of atmosphere in the ground. Our team has delivered and it is time for us fans to ramp up the crowd and create that Maine Road atmosphere again. We need to be the 12th man like we used to. I have been in Australia for four years and have heard reports how poor it is. Some posters have suggested a band like Blackburn or Sheffield Wednesday....nope. An electric atmosphere at home can make a massive difference (points) and can be a factor in keeping our best players. WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT?????
P.S. No to Anelka (Feed the Crouch)

As for atmosphere, please not a band. We need to change the culture back to what it was - you are expected to sing all through the game. Call on all those who used to stand in the top left corner of the Kippax now dotted around the ground to get up and lead the way. The others will follow if we stick at it. I'll be doing my bit. At least the whole of the south stand, upper and lower should be singing. If all we churn out is blue moon and stand up if ... no-one will bother, lets get these new songs going.
Come on lets make some noise!!!

Judging from your spelling I'd say that you were the one with the learning difficulties that arise from your mother having relations with your father/uncle.

I bet you wet your pants when you post something here, thinking it's just so funny... You are obviously a rag - and since you got beat on the derby you have to hide behind this chelsky garbage. Get a life you sad Manure fan.
