Adriano 'no' to City move

TROUBLED: Adriano

BLUES January transfer window target, Adriano, has indicated that he sees his long-term future in Milan and not Manchester.

City had been interested in taking the Brazil striker on loan or possibly in a swap deal involving out-of-favour Rolando Bianchi, but that now seems less likely.

Adriano, who has been sidelined at Inter this season and been forced recently to deny accusations of heavy drinking, now says he is ready to put his problems behind him by staying to play in Italy.

And that could lead the Blues to switch their sights to another Brazilian striker Julio Baptista who is currently playing at Real Madrid, having spent last season on loan at Arsenal.

NORWICH are set to sign City striker Ched Evans, 18, on loan until January 1. He will go straight into the squad to face Coventry on Saturday.

proudtobeblue- I have it on good authority that crouch will NOT sign for city! and thank the Lord for that. If we need a tall striker with no pace and poor heading, that we can use as a target man, then we'll put samaras in the squad.

I thought Sven was keeping clear of these type of players,if he watched the French U21 team against Wales he could not have helped but notice their striker Remy aged 20,this player will finish up in the Premiership so why not with City instead of Arsenal?

Good. Not so keen on Julio Baptisita either. He didn't exactly cut the mustard at Arsenal. Anyhow both these are pure speculation.

Hope you are right proudtobeblue. I was one of those with doubts over Crouch but he proved last night what a class act he is, what a goal he scored and the only one who looked bothered!

This was from a mere two weeks ago, this new story just goes to show we will have to put up with the press speculation right till January.....I dare say it will be a similar story with Crouch, Anelka, Love, Huntelaar and whoever else, will they, wont they etc etc yawn yawn

I like everyone else am extremely impatient and would love to know now who we will sign, however we'll have to sit back, let the papers fill their back pages with speculation and then wait for Sven to suprise us all...at least now McCLaren has has gone they'll have something else to write about.

And whilst we're debating the merits of signing Crouch, just cast your minds back to 12 months ago, when the only real possibility of a new signing was Mido....surely that will give us all a sense of perspective

Get with it MUEN he was never in Sven's little black book and regardless of any good authority I doubt Crouch is either. he might fit Englands 4-4-2 style but he'd be useless in our 4-5-1 set up.

Sven will be waiting for the fall out from the Champions league and his bargains have already been identified ready to be snapped up.
