Sinclair joins Bluebirds

Trevor Sinclair

FORMER City midfielder Trevor Sinclair has signed for Cardiff.

The 34-year-old, who joined City in 2003, had held talks with Stoke but has already joined up with the Bluebirds in their training camp in Portugal.

Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale said: "We are delighted to add Trevor to the squad. He is a former England international and has experience at the top level, which is important to us.

"Trevor will add value and depth to the team and will give us more quality as we try to build a team that can operate at the right end of the Championship."

Trev is 1 of my close mates, and i think he will do fantasic at cardiff. I spoke to him yesterday and he is looking forward to playing for cardiff, and he is geared up for a good season. He is a player a lot of clubs need. I'm very proud of him, and i wish him all the luck in the world. He's had a bad few months and now things look like they're picking up for him. I'm sure if you asked Sinclair he'd say his time at City was worth it for the two goals he put past the Swamp donkeys.

Imagine growing up supporting City and doing that, I would die a happy man.

Said it before and I'll say it again, it was obvious his best days as a winger were behind him when he first signed. He should have converted to full back 3 or 4 years ago, in which case I'm certain he would have had far more games for City and would still be playing Premiership football now.
