The 20-year-old striker has thrown his support behind the 'One Game, One City' campaign, set up to encourage people and organisations to reach out to inner-city communities through sport.
And as part of that programme, Miller - who grew up in Moston - will be presenting community awards at the City of Manchester Stadium on Thursday (6.30pm).
The City Academy product is keen to do his bit to promote the campaign, which aims to recognise the positive things being done to reach out to marginalised sections of society through sport.
Organisers believe that sport is the ideal way to develop more positive role models for inner-city areas.
Thursday's event will also offer advice to inner-city football groups as to how to get funding and build links with other teams and projects.
It has been organised by Kick It Out, football's anti-racism group, with the support of Manchester City and the Football Foundation.
Kick It Out director Pinar Power said: "This event will recognise groups who have successfully been using football as a tool to promote positive messages, while reaching out to others who may wish to develop their work but need support or help in delivering their ideas."
Community groups or amateur teams can find out more by calling Kick It Out on 020 7684 4884.

He should concentrate on his community work because he certainly aint a footballer!
Number Six. agreed.
Having seen his performance at Watford, I have to agree with number six. Possibly the worst academy player i've seen. Altough Stephen Jordan runs hims close. Get rid of them both.
Joey Barton
Best wishes to young Ishmael and the campaign but I don't see a rosy future for him at City,he reminds me a little of the player who joined Wigan Forlan who won't make it either, still he can not say that he has not been given a fair chance by SP, he is only division 2 standard in my humble opinion.
Would love to be proven wrong but have to agree with everyone on here, just doesn't look very good - on that basis how good really is Sturridge on the basis that Miller makes the squad/bench far more than does DS.
