Wanderers brought out their big guns and played first-teamers Kevin Nolan, Idan Tal, Stelios and David Thompson and it was Tal who provided the opener on eight minutes when his free-kick was met by Cesar Martin at the back post.
Bolton doubled their lead with Stelios tapping home after clever work from Harsanyi.
City improved in the second period with Adam Clayton firing against the bar but Bolton held on for a comfortable home win.

What do i think? I don't know really... you told us more about bolton and their team than ours. All i can gather from that is that adam clayton played... he did pretty well to keep it at 2-0 on his own if you ask me!
Urmston Blue, Manchester that was brilliant ha ha. Think City Reserves did well against Bolton's first team.
Urmston Blue - Excellent post - LOL
Well said one and all! Doubtless all the MEN staff were paying homage at the Swamp and they had nobody to cover the second-string...
Although City have been on top of their last few games this wasn't one of them. This says it all, Bolton dominated with very little going on at the other end.
