The party, who are favourites to buy the club ahead of three other would-be purchasers, spent a couple of hours chatting and looking over what their money might buy should they go ahead with their planned investment in the relegation-battling Blues.
Later the high-powered delegation moved to the stadium for more meetings. It was the second time that they had toured the ground in the last few months.
Takeover
The American visit has been warmly received within the club though officials remain cautious because they accept that any big cash injection leading to a full takeover would be dependent on the Blues securing a place in the top flight next season.
For that reason a deal is not thought to be imminent and John Wardle will continue to search for what he believes to be the right people to take City to the next level and make cash available for new players.
The Americans have researched the financial arrangements between City and the council, who own the ground, as they compile all the facts before making a final offer.
What do you think? Have your say.

Now it looks like next three months could be just as important to the future of MCFC.
Somehow we must come through this critcal period with our Premiership status still preserved. The difference between staying up and relegation never has and probably never will be greater. The board must be aware of this too, so therefore Pearces job must surely be on the line this weekend.
We won't get any points at Blackburn win, lose or draw, but it will give a indication of whether Pearce has the ability to motivate the players for the fight that lies ahead. If we lose by more then a couple of goals then surely we will be looking for a new manager come Monday morning. Whether would be a good or bad thing is anyones guess.

All these suggestions re Van Gaal, Jewell, Davies, Simmo or even Horton are pure fantasy at this stage of the season.
Whilst this sad apology for a board still occupy the seats of power at the COMS, then no one will entertain us. Except, that is managers who are has beens, never has beens or out of gainful employment, therefore would grab at anything.
Come to think of it, the above describes the type of players only willing to come here as well !.
No from now until the end of this wretched, stomach churning season it is us the fans who need to 'put in a shift' it is us that 'need to be a bit cuter'. Get to the games support the team and the manager. Put your grievances to bed until Summer comes. The players obviously sense atmospheres generated from the crowd. We need to create a positive one from which the team can respond. It does make a difference.
Lastly, and this is the 'cute bit', it will assist Nero and his cohorts up in the ivory tower if we remain in the Prem. It will help us to get rid of this lot and welcome a new stable, forward thinking regime to start to turn the club around. I never thought that I would'support' the board, but I am getting increasingly desperate in my wish to see them off I will try anything !.
Come on the fans, the fightback starts Sunday !.

I'd get into bed with the Yanks if it even meant one League Cup.. Success is what its about and if they can provide it, bring it on. Sure, respect the Mancunian roots and heritage of the club, but cash is king in todays game and hopefully they have it.

Jesper, I agree Im not fond of the club falling into Yankee hands. But Id rather have a Abramovitch type of person than the familybusiness that took over the swamp with what's in it. Just hope the board makes the right descision. We just have to trust them on that one. Bad or not, Wardle and co are true Cityfans.
Oh, and SP did spend millions on just one player: Samaras. Other were free or next to it.

I agree with Jesper on several counts. I wouldn't trust him with any money, given his record in the market; no we don't want to be a franchise. We need to invest sensibly like Villa are doing rather than go mad in one big splash. The good young players are out there in the lower leagues (eg Sharp, Maynard, Billy Jones etc) and at European clubs. I hope City go out and get them before other people do. We've suffered from that too many times (eg Lita, Folan and much, much further back Ian Rush). We need a good coach too, and a board with foresight which has the club and to treat the fans with respect. I could go on!!!

Your article has neither, which leads me to believe this item has been generated via club sources. In fact you end the article in such an open ended fashion that suggests these events could have taken place up to 2 months ago !.
As usual we are being mushroomed, or is it all too 'hush hush to talk about.
