The latest blank was City's 13th in 27 league games, which have so far yielded just 20 goals.
Only bottom pair Watford and West Ham have a worse record and, despite the arrival of Belgium international Emile Mpenza, nothing looks likely to change.
"Twenty goals in 27 games speaks for itself," said Pearce.
With all the top four still to play, plus tough trips to Newcastle and Middlesbrough in a run-in which also features a crucial Good Friday home clash with Charlton, City are now in the mire, although Pearce feels they are not alone.
"Ask Fulham and Aston Villa if they have any relegation worries," he said.
"We are concerned but I feel it will be any three from the bottom eight who could go down."
What do you think? Have your say.

He had from January 1st until 31st to get a striker .....we have not had a playmaker since Ali and Eyal went.
He played under Brian Clough .....none of his management skills rubbed off on him.
Get him sacked Monday.
Wardle on Monday at 9am you should knock on the managers door and calmly hand him his P45...... with the departing words .... have fun with the U21s
PEARCE OUT

The fact is Pearce accepted the U121 job without the consulting the club and then made it clear in the media that the he thought that the position should be full time starting in the summer and. oh waht an honour it would be to serve his country blah blah blah.
Is it coincidence that we haven't earned a single point since then?
That we have lost key coaching staff members?
That overall coomitment levels to the club and to the tackle seem to have plummeted?
Pearce is, in his vernacular, being "a bit too cute" and reaping the rewards.
If he doesn't get his relegated then he will leave in the summer to ruin the U 21s.
If we do get relegated thanks to his self interested puruits and lack of focus on he club we will lose
1. Richards, Distin, Barton, Isaacson but not Samaras.
2. Miss out on the biggest pay day in professional football history
3. Lose the interest of potential investors and access to the type of bank roll necessary for future success.
4. Possibly surrender our place in the Premiership to Roy Keanes team.
But he least he'll have the honourof at least part time serving his country.
PS While we were fooling around not signing Mido at 5 to midnight Wigan picked up Folan, yesterdays goal scorer, for 500k.
Tme to move on SP.

Losing Vassell and Nedum have been big losses but they only would have papered over the huge cracks that Pearce has mis-managed. Team for remainder of season should be 4-4-2, Issakson, Richards, Dunne, Distin, Ball, Abdoun, Barton, Johnson, Beasley, Sturridge, Mpenza with Weaver, Sun, Hamann, Trabelsi and Evans as subs. Very untried but can't do ANY worse than the c**p we've had to suffer so far. If we're going to go down then lets go down trying to win games playing football rather than trying to not lose and hoofing it forward. Sadly Pearce will continue to pick his overrated donkeys and the lads from the academy will only get in the team once we are broke and in the Championship. Look for Pearce's wholesale dramatic changes for next week! back in come Dabo or Sinclair - another quality decision by our inspired manager.

If this is team building stay at home - the millions spent on the training ground not good enough.
A total dismal dismal display. Errors that get committed players left of pub teams. Beesley ran back every time Ball crossed the half way line. Corradi and Samaras would have been just as effective at home.
Only bright spark was Sun.
S.P. buy a suit and sit down shouting conflicting instructions must be a real bonus to the opposition. Get a soap-box and stand outside the ground shouting `Judgement day is Here` and then you will be believed.
Better still follow your staff to Coventry.(?was the writing on the wall). I will not renew Roll-Royce prices for scrap (sorry wrong word NO SCRAP LEFT)
