MACCLESFIELD manager David Moss goes into the lunchtime fixture against in-form Doncaster with a powerful endorsement from chairman Rob Bickerton.

"We are not ones for knee-jerk reactions or wielding axes at Macclesfield," he said. "We will stand together to improve results."

His words follow the disappointing 2-0 defeat at Orient, when Macc had hoped to progress after the 2-1 win over Rochdale.

Moss will also be boosted by the return of centre back Steve Macauley after concussion, striker Matty Tipton after an exploratory chest operation and right back George Abbey after an ankle injury.

Moss might consider playing centre back Matt Haddrell in a striker's role allowing Miles and Carruthers to work off a target man.
