JERMAINE Johnson looks likely to miss out on a loan move to Macclesfield after being sent off for Wanderers reserves.

The Jamaican international was poised for a one-month move to Moss Rose until he saw red during the 3-2 reserve defeat to Newcastle.

Macc manager David Moss had hoped to sign the winger in time for Saturday’s clash with Rochdale. But must now wait until a three-match ban has been served.

However, Moss could resurrect the deal following Johnson’s suspension.
