Macclesfield Town

Boston United 2 Macclesfield Town 1

MACCLESFIELD Town's second half fight back was in vain as they lost at Boston United.

The Silkmen were were rejuvenated in the second half by substitutes Matthew Tipton and Colin Little, but though Little pulled a goal back on 60 minutes they were unable to find a late equaliser.

Little, though, almost made a double point to his manager when he sent an 80th header crashing against the crossbar.

The damage was done earlier, as Boston took the lead on 19 minutes when Macc keeper Steve Wilson rugby tackled Richard Logan in the box.

Though he only received a yellow his luck ended when Peter Duffield slotted home the penalty point.

The game was up on 51 minutes when Matt Hocking headed home unmarked at the near post.
