IT'S all gone wrong for Macclesfield Town this season . . . so
they have asked for a little help to get it all Wright.
Former England striker Ian Wright has been up at the Moss Rose
coaching the Silkmen's forwards as they bid to turn the club's
miserable season around.
Wright answered a call for help from his old mate Paul Ince, who
took over as Macclesfield boss last month following the sacking of
Brian Horton.
It's not a permanent appointment; the former Arsenal striker is
only helping out for a couple of days to try to lift Macc's goal
tally - and their spirits.
But Wright, who won 33 caps for England and was an international
team-mate of Ince, was only too happy to answer the former United
midfielder's call.
And Ince is hoping that the striker, who scored more than 300 goals
during his career, can bring a touch of magic to dispel the Moss
Rose gloom.
The Silkmen are the only team in English professional football yet
to win this season, having picked up just six points from their
first 18 League Two matches.
Ince's squad have a chance to "relax and enjoy themselves" away
from the pressures of League Two when they travel to Walsall
tonight for their FA Cup first round replay but will again be
without striker John Murphy.
The winners play Hartlepool in the second round.
