Macclesfield were left cursing Swansea stopper Roger Freestone as the Welsh side rode their luck to take all three points from a poor match.

The Swans played like a team figthing to stay in the Nationwide League, but they were gifted the win by a late Macclesfield error.

Keeper Steve Wilson lost the ball to Matthew Howard and the fullback's cross was turned home by Matt Murphy.

Macclesfield had created the better chances beforehand, but Freestone showed all his class to tip over a Danny Whittaker header and save a stinging Matthew Tipton drive.
