Macc may collect Parkin windfall

MACCLESFIELD Town can expect a six-figure windfall rising up to é250,000 if Hull City sell former Silkmen striker Jon Parkin to Leeds United.

The Elland Road club have tabled a é750,000 bid for their 6ft 4ins goal scorer who has lit up the KC Stadium since arriving last January, already scoring three goals this season even though the Tigers are at the foot of the Championship.

Macc have a sell-on clause and are hoping the bid goes over é1m which would allow Brain Horton greater leeway in the market. Leeds need a new target man to replace Rob Hulse, who went to newly-promoted Sheffield United.
