MACCLESFIELD boss Brian Horton has not even contemplated relegation despite his side facing a late scrap to stay in the Football League.
The Silkmen are one of seven teams that could go down tomorrow in a nail-biting final day in League Two.
But Horton insists it is business as usual for his struggling side ahead of their crunch match at Bristol Rovers.
"We've not even talked about relegation," he said.
"If we put pressure on ourselves then that would just make the players tense.
"We're just getting on with it like any normal day. We'll be approaching the game in exactly the same manner.
"I'll be nervous but I am every Saturday and if I wasn't, I would pack the game in."
Horton is confident that Macclesfield will ensure their safety in a thrilling climax to the season.
"We're going up there with the intention to win because I'm not taking any chances," he added.
"Half-time will be the first time I want to hear any scores but we will concentrate on our own game.
"I can't believe we're still involved being seventh from bottom with 51 points. I thought 50 points would easily be enough to stay up but that might not be the case. It's amazing.
"I've had a few final days like this but I've only had one relegation in 22 years as a manager. I certainly don't want another but it's in our own hands. I'd be a lot more worried if it wasn't."
Horton confirmed his players have suffered no injury setbacks in their bid for survival.
